This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of February, 1926, in accordance with request made by self, through Mr. David E. Kahn.

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

  2. EC: Now, we find there are some abnormal conditions with this body, and there are those weaknesses and those conditions that the body should be warned of, for the better physical condition of the body.

  3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [3713] we are speaking of. First:

  4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find below normal in its rebuilding and replenishing forces. That is, little vitality or strength is able to be stored in the system for the immediate use, and often the body taxes the system to that point where the vital forces are very low, and the energies are used up in a manner that becomes detrimental to the body, and it is through this condition the body should be warned, for should this condition that is producing the condition in lung become one that gives this same condition in throat and bronchials, through the taxing of the body and of the vital forces, this would become very destructive, and hard to cope with.

  5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find this is weak and low in many centers and in many ganglions. Especially is this true in the 2nd lumbar and in the 4th and 5th, yea 6th, dorsal. These show how, by their engorged condition and soreness to the touch, these centers, through the nerves of cerebro-spinal and sympathetic, attempt to induce that excess of circulation to ward off conditions in the system.

  6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, in brain forces very good, and exceptional in many ways and manners.

  7. In the organs of the sensory system, the depleted condition is exhibited through all of these in their functioning.

  8. Throat and bronchials show the effect of this strain on system.

  9. Lungs show the spot where the inroads have been made by those of that germ that brings weakened and destructive forces to the organ proper.

  10. Heart’s action low, though near normal at the present time.

  11. The digestive system very good at present, but should be BUILDED to where the assimilations will give more vitality to blood and to the whole general system, without bringing destructive forces to any specific conditions of the organs.

  12. Liver tending to be torpid.

  13. Kidneys are over-active, and hence the removal of those conditions that hinder in the dorsal region would prove very beneficial to the body in coping with the conditions existent in the system.

  14. Then, to bring the better, the more normal condition for this body, we would first correct those conditions, osteopathically, in the dorsal and lumbar regions, through the adjustment and manipulation of the general system, taking at least thirteen to fifteen such treatments, or adjustments.

  15. Use at all times for the respiratory system, for the healing in lungs and in the bronchials, this as an inhalant only:

  16. To 4 ounces of grain alcohol, put in an 8 ounce square or round glass container, add:

Eucalyptol…20 minims, Canadian Balsam…5 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp…5 minims, Essence or solution of Tolu, or tincture, see?…30 minims, Benzoin…3 minims, Creosote…3 minims.

Shake the solution (and keep it corked with glass stopper) before each inhalation, which should be taken at least three to four times each day, or oftener if necessary. Inhale through the lungs - deep inhalation - the fumes of this, see, from open bottle.

  1. The body should be, for at least two to three months, in a higher climate; such as in North Carolina, or Saranac, N.Y., see? yet AWAY from many groups, but yet in that of those company who bring cheering conditions for the body; that is, not become lonesome or brood upon condition of self; for we will find, by following these suggestions, by keeping the diet, keeping the bowels active, keeping those properties that will produce and bring about the assimilation, we may ward off and prevent any further inroads in the system. Do that.

  2. We are through for the present.
