This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of August, 1926, in accordance with request made by his mother - Mrs. […], via Mr. Frank E. Mohr.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, the conditions in the physical forces of this body are rather serious. Won’t be much done for this body.

4. Now, these are the conditions, as we find in the physical forces of the body:

In the blood stream, this has been very good, and the conditions still show that there is some hope of recuperation still carried on by the inward physical body, yet, with so much of the diseased tissue becoming involved along the cerebro-spinal system, and with the blood stream picking up rather than eliminating or forming resistance against same, we see this is gradually scattering throughout the system, and more and more does this hinder the locomotion of the body, for the formation is of sarcoma nature in the cerebro-spinal system proper, and with the bone structure being involved in the condition, and with the cerebro-spinal cord becoming involved in same, by the diseased tissue of the bone structure, this gradually cuts off the various incentives of locomotion, save as is seen through sympathetic system. Reached too far a stage to be much benefits accomplished with same. The better condition would be to apply those properties as would be found in Mullein Stupes to the affected portions of the spine, see? This, as we see, would nearer localize the condition. Then give the body those properties internally that would give rejuvenation and assist in the building in the blood stream that as will, more and more, eliminate that that is thrown in it, and create more and more of the leukocytes that will ward off, or wall up, the dis-eased or diseased tissue. While this will not aid in the paralysis as is produced already, yet it may prevent from spreading at the present time.

The Mullein Stupes would be made of the green Mullein leaves - these placed in warm water, or placed in a dish and warm water, or rather BOILING water poured over same - the leaves themselves taken out of this, see? and as warm as is possible applied directly to these portions of the body, along the spine here, you see.

7. Also taking into the system those properties as are found:

8. Drink no water without carrying elm bark (slippery elm bark), and oils, and Magnesia, or Petrolagar - these all, of course, will cleanse the system - add to the eliminations. Then take Soda and Gold, see? in these proportions: 15 grains of Chloride of Gold in 15 ounces distilled water, with 15 grains of Bromide of Soda. The dose would be 3 to 5 drops in water 2 times each day - 3 o’clock in afternoon and 9 o’clock in the mornings, see? This again will keep elimination, and build in tissue and resistance in the blood supply.

9. Do not give meats. Broths of meat, or of vegetables, these will be best for the body, see?

Cancer Treatment - $100 a Shot

The recent increase in open-market gold prices will affect, among many other things, the cost of a unique type of cancer treatment given at the Civic Hospital’s cancer clinic.

Treatment involves the use of radio-active gold in a colloidal solution, and clinic head Dr. T. G. Stoddard said the cost of the solution will probably be affected by recent gold price trends.

The Ontario Cancer Foundation clinic at the Civic is one of only two centers in Canada using this type of cancer treatment. What makes it unique is that the surgeon must insert a plastic tube in one of the lymph vessels in the foot. This vessel is about the size of a large hair.

The solution is forced up through the vessels to the lymph glands behind the stomach. These glands, Dr. Stoddard said, are predominantly the first area of cancer attack where cancer spreads very rapidly.

This same type of endolymphatic injection is used to search out cancer in this area. A solution that shows up on X-ray photographs is injected in the same manner to reveal the presence of the disease.

Prior to this it was necessary to operate and probe surgically for signs of cancer in the lymph glands.

The only surgeon presently qualified to perform this pains-taking work at the Civic is Dr. Peter Capello.

While it will cost more for the radio-active gold in future, Dr. Stoddard said the increase would not be felt by most patients because the treatment is covered by hospital insurance.

Cost of an injection of radio-active gold today is about $100, but the largest part of this goes to making the gold radio-active.

The cancer clinic at the civic is considered third in the volume of cancer research conducted in Ontario.

Dr. Stoddard termed it the fastest growing clinic in the country.

Next month the Canadian Cancer Society will be appealing to Ottawa area citizens for funds to help support the many cancer research projects underway across Canada.

B1. 7/12/26 “I have been confined to the house for 18 mos. Have no use of my legs. Haven’t walked for 18 mos. and for the last 2-3 mos. my arms have been affected the same way. Am so nervous. My arms seem to jerk so I can’t use them at all. I have tried several doctors and none seem to help me. Will you please advise me what to do that I can get relief?”
