This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 7th day of May, 1925, in accordance with request made by her husband - Mr. [3733].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:30 A. M. Dayton Savings Time. New York City.

  1. EC: Now in the body, [3732], we find there are very good functionings in many portions of the system, yet there are those conditions that may be assisted for the physical forces do not respond nominally to the conditions necessary for the perfect balance throughout the physical forces.

  2. Then, these are the conditions as we find them in this body, [3732].

  3. IN THE BLOOD STREAM, in this we find a full blood supply, yet abnormal in some manners, for the heart’s action at time gives the warning of condition as is produced by the blood stream carrying over quantity of toxins not eliminated perfectly in the system, and the condition in digestive system and the nerve state as is produced in the right side, especially near the kidney and right ovary, shows the strain as is produced in circulation through an overtaxed condition in the body.

  4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in the cerebro-spinal forces we find in the 4th lumbar and in the 9th dorsal those forms of lesions that give and show the seat of the distress as is produced in the body. In the 9th dorsal this affects directly the functioning of the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexuses in the way of digestion. Hence we find there are times and conditions when the foods as taken in system apparently do not cause distress at first, but when they begin to act through the lower portion of the body, or the stomach proper, and entering the lower portion of system, this brings distresses through the body, and the body has an overtaxed condition of too much lacteals and lactics in the body. Not acid state sufficient to produce the correct equilibrium in the state of digestion that should be in the upper intestinal tract. In its course then through the system, we find the system in attempting to create the sufficient of the nutriment to supply the needs of the body produce this taxing in 9th dorsal center, in the 4th lumbar center. These affecting then through the mesenteric system give the high circulation to the lower hepatics, over flowing then the condition for the functioning of the system during the periods. Hence the overtaxing in the region of the right ovary and the pressure produced on the kidney in its function. Hence we have these reflexes from this: Tendency to produce too much urine in system, or of frequent desire for the passage of urine without too much of the distress as would be nominally produced by such condition, on acid state as is shown from the condition as is produced and the nerve repression as is brought on at such times.

  5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good.

  6. Organs of the sensory system show the taxation as produced through sympathetic and reflex conditions.

  7. Throat, bronchials, lungs, larynx, show effect of recent conditions as have existed through over taxation in a high blood supply, or overheated through blood stream, as is shown in lungs, though no organic condition.

  8. Heart’s action nominal at present, as is pulsation and respiration.

  9. Digestive system shows at the present time very good, though strained of the condition as shown through the kidneys and through the liver, and the whole hepatic circulation, or that of liver and kidney direct.

  10. In the lower intestinal tract we find the state of the taxation as is produced through the body.

  11. Then, to assist and bring these conditions normal for this body, we would through manipulation, osteopathically given, correct those conditions in the lumbar and dorsal region, giving to the body at the same time those properties that will create the perfect eliminations for the system, giving the incentive to the nerve stream, to the blood supply, to come to the normal forces, as which would be found in this:

Tincture Valerian…2 ounces, Iodide of Potassium…15 grains, Bromide Potassium…20 grains, Elixia Calisaya…4 ounces, Elixia Celerina…2 ounces, Oil of Peppermint…2 minims. Sufficient simple syrup to make 10 ounces.

  1. The dose of this would be teaspoonful three times each day. Shake solution well before properties are taken. We will find these properties acting in this manner with system: The Valerian as the sedative to the digestive system, and especially to the pyloric forces in the stomach proper. Iodide acting with the nerve system, especially in that of the functioning of the sensory nerve forces, and especially those in the pelvic organs. Bromide acting in that as a strainer and restrainer of nerve supply and producing the normal inclination of the functioning of the kidneys. Of the Calisaya as the restrainer in blood and as acting upon by the lacteal ducts and giving the liver, spleen and the hepatic circulation the cleansing, as it were, necessary in the blood stream. The Celerina acting as the tonic for the pancreas, for the spleen and for the whole intestinal secretions. The action of all combine then that necessary to produce nominal eliminations, so that assimilations, when the corrections are made in the dorsal and lumbar regions, will become a normal condition in the body, [3732] we are speaking of.
