This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of April, 1934, in accordance with request made by Miss [[275], daughter], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mildred Davis, L. B. and Hugh Lynn Cayce.]

Time of Reading … Ave. 4:35 to 4:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y.

  1. GC: If it is in accord with Divine Will, we and the [378] family seek any further help and advice as to the soul of [378] and his future well-being. You will give that which will be of the most help at this time to all concerned, in a material, mental and spiritual way.

  2. EC: Yes. Yes. We see - we see - O where is it! We see the body!

  3. Keep - keep thine self free that thou may again come into the light of understanding that He is all, that He will guide in the things that thou wouldst do with thine mind, thine body and thine soul.

  4. O, let not discouragement overcome thee. Let not those things tempt thee in that thou doest, for the body is the temple of the soul. Make it, through thy will in Him, be guided to DO that which will bring to self, to others, the knowledge of life and its manifestations of the trust in Him that alone can make things straight.

  5. About the body is - what? What is this? What IS this? What IS this? Where is it?

  6. Come, let thine better self guide. Make not the way hard for thee and for those to whom thou art so near and dear, as they seek that thou be guided by that which is right and best for thine own soul! Let not those things that hinder hinder any longer, for there will be aid - Where is this? Where IS this?

  7. Let the light of His presence make thee unafraid. Go - go - return thou to thine better way. Go! Let Him guide thee.

  8. Be not unreasonable with thine self nor with others that are praying for thee for thy return. Come! Know He is able, even in the hour of stress and strain, to maintain thee, if thou wilt only say “Thy will be done, not my way; not the easy way, but rather that as Thou, O God, would give at this time.” Make thine mind clear, and join again in those things that will bring to thee much - much - in the way of the more perfect knowledge and understanding of His ways.

  9. WHERE is this? Where is this? What is this about the body that hinders so; that surrounds in such a maze that keeps aid from coming?

  10. When thou hast chosen those things that block the way for the greatness of the spirit of light to enter, thou makest the way hard even for those that would do thee good. Thou shuttest them out from thine companionship. Thou cuttest them off from being that help and aid that makes for the light that would guide thee.

  11. This backs away!

  12. Rise! Make known unto the Lord what thou wouldst do. The mind will clear in Him. Hold tight to that faith thou hast in Him that is able to keep that thou committest unto Him, for in His arms He will bear thee up - and He will give His angels charge concerning thee. They will banish those fears, those walls of darkness that thou hast built in thine determinations, in thine recklessness in mind. For, savourest thou of the things that take hold onto those things that bring fear and darkness, thou turnest thy face from the light.

  13. FACE the light! Draw near to Him, He will draw near to thee.

  14. Where is this? WHERE?

  15. Still in body!

  16. We are through.
