This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Cayce”s Studio, Selma, Alabama, this 2nd day of February, 1923.

[Edgar Cayce; (?), Conductor; (?), Steno.]

Time of Reading 12:00 Noon. …, Alabama.

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find the abnormal conditions that need correction at the present time have to do with the co-ordination of the nerve and muscular forces in various portions of the body, caused and governed by the functioning of organs as produced in every functioning throughout the system, and the effect that this has produced on the body. Now these are the conditions as we find them in this body, [3785] we are speaking of:

  2. In the blood supply we find the lack of quantity, yet that quantity above the normal forces of pressure, at times, and at other times below, or a sub-normal, this being produced by the lack of co-ordination in the system through certain centers of nerve forces that govern both muscular reaction and the circulatory system. Especially do we find this along the lower cervical, the brachial plexus and the second lumbar plexus, so that part of the brain forces become dormant to such reactions, and then contraction of muscles at this reaction over the system causes rather a distressed than a diseased condition.

  3. With nerve forces, we find this condition as we have given with the cerebro-spinal forces, while the sympathetic and the sensory organism reflexly become involved.

  4. With this improper co-ordination there comes to the various organs reflex condition - as to organs of sight, speech and sense discernment, as it were - between the action of the sensory and sympathetic nerve forces. The sympathetic forces are above the normal, as are the brain forces without the reaction.

  5. The digestive tract is much of the seat of the trouble in the system, this causing through the pneumogastric the reaction with the centers.

  6. The condition in the liver and the reaction in the system cause much of the trouble. The hepatic circulation - the effect as produced on both liver and kidneys - show the effect of this condition in the system.

  7. The heart action in its reflex condition shows the strain on the body.

  8. To give the best and most relief from this body’s condition would be for this body to rest from physical strain and the nerve strain over the body, yet the mind must be kept active, and the physical must, in a manner, follow the same general conditions, else the inactive life to this body would be very detrimental.

  9. As to those properties that would be taken into the system to give the counterbalance and to produce this equilibrium and this co-ordination, we would give these into the system:

  10. The body would do well to drink most all of the water taken into the system carrying those properties, in a small state, of yellow saffron. This preferably would be made into tea from the herb itself and then taken until it becomes palatable to the body.

  11. The vibration that would give rest to the system, and produces co-ordination, we would find from those forces as would be given off by this:

  12. To one gallon of rain water we would add:

Heavy Sea Salt…1 pound, Plain Charcoal…1 pound, Copper Sulfate…1 pound, Zinc…6 drams, Sulfuric Acid C.P…1 ounce.

The poles to this should both be of copper; one would be attached to a plate that would be attached to the ankle, the other to the wrist on the opposite side of the body. Alternate each evening. This would be given for thirty minutes each evening.

  1. The diet for the body would be those in accordance with the dictates of the individual, rather than to direct the body, for it has a strong will, therefore it must be kept active and must be governed by its own dictates.

  2. Give the medicinal properties to tone the system and to rebuild the cells that break occasionally; and give the vibrations that make co-ordination.

  3. We are through.
