This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of December, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [379], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [379]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, there are acute disturbances that have arisen, partially, from the old trouble in the liver and gall duct, and partially from cold and congestion.

4. Hence there are those pains across the small of the back and through the colon area, or lower abdomen.

5. There needs to be the setting up of systematic eliminations. These will relieve those tensions, or the neuritic reactions that are existent in the present. These are the variations from those disturbances, and may be considered as an outgrowth of same.

6. In the present we would find a saline preferable, - either the Eno Salts taken regularly for five or six days, small quantity, or even Sal Hepatica, or Upjohn’s Citrocarbonate. The Sal Hepatica will be more straining. The Eno Salts will take a little longer but be less exhausting to the body as it tries to exercise or use itself. The Citrocarbonate taken after same will correct much of the recurrent effects, or prevent recurrent effects and cause greater alkalinity for the body - when these are complete.

7. Do that in the present.

8. If there is the continuation of acute pain, apply the Oil Pack over the abdomen and the Salts Packs over the lower portion of the spine.

9. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) Pain in forearm, especially right; swelling in thumb of left hand? (A) Neuritic, as we have just given.

11. (Q) Should I have pivot teeth, upper lateral incision on left, extracted? (A) These are partially contributory causes, but with the purifying of the system we may relieve this tension through the teeth and gums. We would do this beforehand, see?

12. (Q) Why is there a sore spot on lower gum since having lower central incisor extracted? (A) This is acidity of the system, and these will come and go according to the eliminations set up, for they are the effect of poisons being circulated through the system.

Touch same with Spirits of Camphor, - this will aid in relieving same until eliminations are sufficient.

Do these.

R1. 4/9/43 Through 12/8/43 she obtained 568-4 through 568-7 for her son.

R2. 10/14/47 Mrs. [379] was operated on for kidney stones; kidney removed. Two stones in kidney, one a big rock. Doctor said the fallen womb condition will have to be taken care of later.

R3. 10/11/65 Mrs. [379] was in the hospital not expected to live, suffering from acute diverticulitis with which she had been bothered for several years.

R4. 11/1/65 Daughter-in-law, (her son [568]‘s wife) said Mrs. [379] is at home with them now, doing fine; has gained back her strength, is up and about. However, her eyesight has gone, so that she has to have Braille records to occupy her time and to keep her in touch. Her mind is quite active still, and she is an inspiration and a help to all who come in touch with her.

R5. 6/24/69 Daughter-in-law reported: “She isn’t feeling too well. Stones in her kidney, and gets spells of nausea.”

R6. 4/6/70 A.M. She died in her home, at the age of 89 yrs.
