This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of March, 1944, in accordance with request made by the husband - Mr. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern War Time. New York, N.Y.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3804].

3. The life span here is near spent and that which may be administered will only be as a palliative for the body.

4. The inability for the use of the sensory organisms or speech, or the weakness that is experienced through the limbs and through all of the body is a part of the disintergration that comes from a general breaking up of the body.

5. There may be much help from the administering of hydrotherapy treatments. It may be necessary to have these administered at home by the use of blankets or sheets instead of carrying the body to a hydrotherapy institution, even though the treatments could be much better given there.

6. There needs to be created a better superficial circulation by raising the temperature of the superficial circulation with wet, hot, very hot blankets or with the steam baths - in a cabinet. These may be administered best in the cabinet, using the Fume Bath and the dry heat. In the Fume Bath the variation of Atomidine and witchhazel will give greater strength, one given one time, the other the next; that is, every other day. To the pint of water put a teaspoonful of Atomidine, two teaspoonsful of witchhazel. These should be given at different periods, every other day.

7. Afterwards use a massage to increase the circulation, all along the spine and along the ribs, over the limbs, the abdomen, the whole body; using cocoa butter. This will give the better stimulation.

8. These as indicated, will be palliatives not curatives; but they will bring much ease for the body.

9. Of course, use strengthening foods for the body. Such as beef juice. Or Wyeth’s Beef, Iron and Wine as a tonic will be helpful for the body.

Dear Mr. Cayce:-

We were very happy when in your letter dated Jan. 29, 1944, you informed us that you had made March 23rd from 10:30 to 11:30 E.W.T. as a period for the physical reading for Mrs. [3804]. She is eagerly awaiting that time. She will be at her home, 119 West 71st St., N.Y. City at the time specified.

I have lost my speech. Could I get it back? My limbs are very weak, what could be done to make them stronger? I rest a great portion of the time, yet I do not seem to gain my strength in them. I am very anxious to have my reading on March 23rd between 10:30 and 11:30. I have great difficulty in holding up my head.

P.S. When you say between 10:30 and 11:30, I take that to mean the morning. Is that correct?
