This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of March, 1944, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [3292], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

Born January 22, 1927, in Massillon, Ohio. Time of Reading 11:20 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called, [3807].

3. If there will be the harkening to those counsels that may be given here, much good may be accomplished by this entity.

4. If there is the continued cultivation of resentments within the entity (as manifested at times) against those who have the better interest of the entity at heart, it may bring such hates, such animosities, such disturbing forces into the experience as to bring not only disturbing mental conditions but impairment of the physical health of the body.

5. There are great abilities in the experience of this entity, yet the entity must realize first that the environment in which the entity finds itself has not come by chance. For the entity is meeting its own self in the manners in which, in varied experiences in the earth, it has meted to others.

6. Then these should be met; not with resentment, animosity, holding grudges, taking sides one with another, but knowing what is thine own ideal - spiritual, mental and material - and abiding by same, meeting the conditions; using them not as excuses, not in that way in which others are condemned. For with what measure ye mete to others it is measured to thee again, and that which is measured to thee is meeting thyself - as given.

7. Then study to show thyself approved unto thy ideal, recognizing that as ye, yourself, today sow, so shall ye reap.

8. As for the urges latent and manifested astrologically, we find Mercury, Venus and Jupiter the greater ruling forces; the high mental abilities of the entity, the abilities in the attraction for others, the good companionship, a good speaker.

9. The abilities should be expressed in writing short stories and eventually a full length book, whether fiction or only part fiction and historical, or that as counsel to others. The exact type of this writing may be indicated as the entity would apply itself and progress. Thus in its studies, in the completion of its schooling, the entity should study journalism or short story writing. These should be the preparations.

10. Apply the urges latent in Mercury, as well as in Venus and Jupiter, or measure to others - under whatever circumstance may arise - that ye would like for others to do to thee.

11. If these tenets are held as truths and practiced in the entity’s relationship to others, it will bring harmony and peace within self and then with others.

12. Ye may not give to others that ye do not possess thyself. The ability to accomplish, the ability to attain to whatever is chosen as thine ideal, in spirit, in mind, in fact, lives, within self. The entity itself must apply these.

13. As to the appearances in the earth and the effect that these urges produce, not all of these are given but those that may be a part of the experience in the next six to ten years, as affecting the body in the present:

14. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity during the reconstruction of the conditions resulting from the disturbances between the North and the South. These had only a passing influence upon the entity. For the activity of the entity, as Cora Carruth, in relationship with those who were in political fields, were not so well. For the entity because of indecisions, indiscreet activities, was accredited with activities that were not in fact true. These the entity is meeting in self and in the relationships about the entity in the present.

15. But know in Whom ye have believed. Know that what is entertained in the mental abilities adds to that which will grow for spiritual and material development or to spiritual and material retardment.

16. Then study to show thyself approved unto thy ideal or to thy God. For there are ways that seem right to an individual but the end thereof is death, unless the applications of the tenets are creative in their very nature, their very activities.

17. Before that the entity was in England during the early settlings of the peoples from other lands, particularly from the Holy Land [Stonehenge?].

18. The entity was among those trained in the secular activities requiring formulas for daily preparations.

19. These bring into the present experience those resentments when the activities of the body are curbed. These may bring disturbing or developing, gratifying or building purposes, dependent upon their use. Use them rather in the manner as to bring greater developments for the entity.

20. The name then was Larmish.

21. Before that the entity was associated with those groups of people who journeyed from the Egyptian land to the land of promise. The entity was among those peoples through whom they passed, but especially in that period when there were inter-relations between the Moabites and the sons of the children of Israel.

22. The entity then, in the name Modeka, was of the Moabites and a contributor to the better relationships that were established between those peoples during that period of sojourn just before entering into the Promised Land.

23. The entity, as a companion of one of the sons of Levi, carried greater aid to the peoples when there was the establishing of the groups that entered into the Promised Land when the administrations were made of the activities to the half tribe of Manasseh.

24. Before that the entity was in Egypt when there were the preparations in the Temple of Sacrifice and the Temple Beautiful for individuals in the preparing for home building.

25. The entity then was the record keeper in the Temple Beautiful as to the various individuals assigned to definite activities and their record of application.

26. The name then was Ebleth.

27. As to the abilities of the entity in the present:

28. Do keep the studies in journalism or short story writing. Do apply self in those directions.

29. Do bring about more harmony in self and in the home.

31. (Q) What is the source of the temperamental and nervous condition, and how can it be improved? (A) This is a portion of the physical condition and the suggestions for overcoming should be attained or gained from that direction. Also as indicated, much comes from the unsettled purposes of the entity as to its ideal - but it is partially physical.

32. (Q) Which college shall I choose? (A) That which will have the better opportunities in those fields indicated.

It is necessary for a Physical reading that we have the exact address at which she will be during the hour set, and that she be in accord; that is, in a prayerful, seeking attitude, expecting to get help through this channel. Perhaps it would be well to seek this appointment during the summer when she can be at home and remain in her room during the hour set.)

R1. 4/24/44 EC’s letter to Mrs. [3292], [3807]‘s mother: “We are enclosing herewith check in amount of twenty dollars to cover refund of amount sent on February 14th for your daughter, [3807]‘s, Physical reading.

“As explained at the end of her Life reading, it was impossible to get the Physical reading due to the fact that we did not have enough detail as to the address. You merely said that she would be in a certain school, giving no particular room number nor a definite location at which she would be during the hour set. This coupled with the fact that your daughter did not know of the reading and consequently was not in a prayerful, seeking attitude, made it impossible to make the contact. Information in a Physical reading comes, we believe, from the subconscious self of the individual; thus it is all the more necessary in this type of reading that the person be aware of what is being attempted and to cooperate at least in attitude as much as possible - unless such an individual is mentally incapable of thinking for itself.

“Hoping that [3807]‘s Life reading will prove helpful and that in the future she may write us herself concerning another appointment if she wishes it, or that she may receive the help needed from some other source in regard to her physical condition.”
