This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 4th day of June, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - [3810].

Time of Reading 11:20 A. M. …, Alabama.

1. LS: Do the planets have an effect upon the physical conditions of this body at the present time? What should be done to overcome the effect of the planets upon the physical condition, if any?

2. EC: Now, we find the conditions in this body somewhat different from those when we have had them before. The physical conditions of the body, as a whole, are very good, and better than when we had them before; yet the specific conditions in the nerves leading to the eye proper, and the condition of the nerve and its action as is caused in the expression of manifestation of vision, in one is better, in the other not so good. Still we have the lack of the circulation being equalized so as to replenish the needed forces as have been set by the conditions in the body. We need more of the vibration necessary to direct the used forces to be eliminated from the system, and for the system to give more of the blood supply to the body, especially to the optic nerve proper, as we have at present the scar, and circulation, and encircling condition around the optic nerve has gradually cut off the supply of nutriment to this as to prevent the proper circulation, and causing scars and atrophied condition of the nerve proper.

3. With the properties as have been taken in system, with the applications as have been given to the body, with those of all conditions we have yet lacked the sufficient to create the equilibrium between the circulation and to overcome the condition, though equalization has been in part; yet not over balanced sufficient to supply the needs of demands of the body to bring the perfect vision again to the body.

4. With the adjustments taken of the cervical regions, taken chiropractically, we would apply the ray (violet ray), with the eye applicator, direct for two minutes.

5. Do this each evening. The secretions as will be produced by this condition, remove by the application of a solution of the alkaline antiseptic, that there may be no choking of the ducts that lead to and from the eliminations in the body.

This we will find will assist the body and gain strength, especially for the eye that has not as yet become so involved in the condition.

6. As to the effect of the planetary conditions, these we see have the effect in times back, some three years ago, and the condition at present is the outgrowth of that condition rather than of the present making. Hence these may be and might have been overcome by direction of will as applied to the attributes of the individual I AM, as in this, as in all individuals, the application of that portion changes or directs the relativity of all forces as directed to the individual. R1. 1/17/58 GD’s note: In early 1924 we were becoming aware of the effects of the planets, etc., from references made in the horoscope readings which individuals were just beginning to seek. This probably accounts for Mr. Cayce’s attempt to approach Mr. [3810]‘s condition from that angle.

”…My eyes are not as strong as they were when you were treating them at the Tutwiler, especially my right eye is weaker than the left. I certainly was in hopes at first that you would have them straightened out by now. I haven’t worked now in three and one-half years, but feel like I could if my eyes were stronger. I had an eye specialist look them over a few days ago. The first doctor I have used in 8 months.

“I would like very much if you think it would do me any good to take another reading and send me at once.

“I had your little book read to me and it strikes me that you could reach my case as some of the others seem to be worse than mine. I certainly hope you can strike the key note in my trouble and will eliminate it.

“Hoping to hear from you at once…”

B3. 5/1/24 EC’s letter to [3810]: ”…Have yours of 28th and was glad to hear from you, sorry to know though that you have not gotten better with your general health improving, was in hopes that the eyesight would improve also. You remember Mr. Mohr whom you met at the Hotel who had had trouble with his eyes - well, he doesn’t even wear glasses at the present time, and the young lady who does the steno. work now, when she began work was troubled a great deal with her eyes, but now doesn’t even wear glasses at all.

“You will see we have set a date and hour when we will give another reading. Please let us have this card back soon as possible and we will see if the right thing now can’t be added that will improve things for you.

“Please give me your birth date, time and place, will you?…”
