This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of November, 1925, in accordance with request made by Dr. L. A. Lydic.

Time of Reading 9:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find there are some abnormal conditions with this body. There are physical conditions that may be corrected. There are psychological conditions - may be corrected through the effect of psychological analysis and the changing and correction of same.

3. Now the physical conditions that we find in the body needing correction, especially along those lines as have been accorded the body for correction, lie in the 6th and 7th dorsal and in the 3rd and 4th lumbar, for the lesions in each of these conditions or places are as these: That in the dorsal the lateral lesion. That in the lumbar circular lesion. That in the lumbar causes those distresses of the lung and heart action, with the fullness and gases that disturb the pneumogastric circulation and digestion. That in the lumbar affecting the pelvic organs, and the mesenteric system in the lower portion, especially that of the descending colon, see? and the transverse is reflexly affected from these conditions, so the psychological effect as is produced in system is that of the neuritic forces, as is shown by pressure produced in both lesions on the sympathetic system. Hence at times the condition affects the left side and again the right side of body, or that is, the portions that seem more oppressed by the condition.

4. The prevention of the response to the treatments as have been accorded the system is lack of touching the central portions in lesion, or being able to get the system perfectly relaxed when those corrections and those massages are given in those regions. Hence we would use heavy salt packs just before the treatments are to be given, or even while on table for treatment. Very warm, as warm as is possible for body to stand, see? This relaxation will so assist in the correction as to enable the operator to “dig in”, as it were, deeper in making the corrections, see?

5. Keeping the intestinal tract open, so that those conditions in the pelvic system, from the reflex neurotic forces, are not over, or surcharged. This will prevent also those conditions as arise in the lower end of the descending colon, see? This should be done by the use of the relaxing through manipulation, as well as a lactic fluid of the alkaline nature for system, such as would be found in that of Phosphate of Soda, with the Syrup of Sarsaparilla - half a teaspoonful in half a glass of water before breakfast each morning, with three to five drops of the Syrup of Sarsaparilla added, see?

6. Do this. We will find we will bring the better results and be able to make those adjustments “stay put”, as it were, in those places necessary for adjusting in the lumbar and cervical and dorsal, see?

7. We are through for the present.

Dear Doc:-

Certainly glad to have yours of a few days ago. Won’t try to write you this evening, except a little note to enclose the reading as gotten. I’m in hopes that this will prove interesting and helpful to you in accomplishing what you desire for this body.

Glad to say we are all fairly well. It hasn’t been necessary as yet for us to hunt up the osteopaths, but the first opportunity I’ll go in and see one of these men and kind of talk things over with him. Perhaps you’ll hear from him. We certainly do miss you and Tim, and are going to look for you down next summer, if not before. I’m sure you’re glad to have your Mother and Sister with you. I’m sorry that I didn’t have the opportunity of meeting them.

Be sure and let us hear from you whenever you have the opportunity. I’ll try and write you again in a few days.

Dear Mr. And Mrs. Cayce:-

No doubt Friday the thirteenth is as good as any day to write and thank you for the reading for Mrs. [3831]. I surely appreciate the favor and will say that you did pick the spot, especially the sixth and seventh dorsal. I haven’t had a chance to check up on the other findings but will follow the treatment that was advised, to the letter and then let you know results.

Things are going nicely between rain storms. We had just about four nice days in October and November hasn’t shown any lovely weather so far.

My girl is getting along nicely; however, if you can suggest anything to improve her disposition, I’ll appreciate that also!

I expect to go to Columbus the twenty-first of this month to see the Illinois-State game. I believe that Tim is going to that game too.

I presume that you are busy now, since you are about settled again so drop me a line whenever you can. Give Miss Davis my best regards as well as the rest of the family.
