GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will answer the questions regarding this body that I will ask you.
-
EC: Now, we find there are some abnormal conditions with this body. While there are many good conditions, yet the conditions as we find that are abnormal may be corrected, though under the present stress there is distress often to the physical functioning of the body.
-
Now these are the conditions as we find them in this body, [3849] we are speaking of. First:
-
IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this is abnormal in its pressure, producing rather by the condition existing in the nerve system than of organic disturbances in the body. In the constituents and elements of the blood supply, this is very good, save where the strain, as produced by this abnormal pressure, produces in the functioning organs the effects of the condition. These then being the effect of this condition. In the liver, this produces a poor assimilation of the excretory forces for the betterment of conditions in the body, and with this there is produced, through the plexus in nerve system, wherein the seat of the trouble lay, that pressure that produces the strains to the head, or headaches. This, then, being a deep-seated trouble in one respect, and only needing the elimination of pressure in a ganglion, and an easily removed trouble in another respect, see? The deep-seated being in that organic conditions are involved in the seat of blood supply to the building forces in system, and the whole hepatic circulation, the whole intestinal tract and the contingencies of the alimentary canal, and the various conditions as produced, rest with this.
-
IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find this the greater seat of the trouble. In times back there was produced in the 12th dorsal a lesion, by a wrench or twisting of the body. The system, in attempting to create the equilibrium, has gradually built up a lesion, wherein its reflex action brings into the system another sympathetic lesion, in the 6th and 7th dorsal, which affects the secondary cardiac plexus. Hence the disturbance to the system in digestive system, in nerve reaction, in the strain of too long standing on feet, or of any excitement; either of these bring on this overflow of blood to the head, see? Then, all portions of the upper part of body suffer from this condition. Shortness of breath, stress in the throat and lungs, the cold congestion in nasal cavity, the eyes, the head, all suffer from this condition, for we are reaching these through two different channels, though of the same making, and as we have already seen, the effect these produce on the functioning of the blood through the liver, the cleansing portion of system, and the building for rejuvenation also for the system, see?
-
THE FUNCTIONING THEN OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, all are showing the strain on the system of these two specific conditions existent in the system. Hence, as we see, these only need the correction in their normal manner of the subluxations, and the stimulation then to the system, to give the rejuvenated vibration to the body, see?
-
Then, to bring the normal conditions for this body, we would first, through deep osteopathic manipulation, (by first applying to the body hot packs before treatments are given, to relax the system, for with the age and condition of the body, this would be more effective) through osteopathic manipulation, correct those conditions in the upper dorsal and in the last dorsal and upper lumbar, see? Adding to the system, after at least five treatments have been taken (they should be taken every other day), these vibrations found in the Radio-Active Applicator, see? Do that. These should be taken; that is, the vibrations from this applicator, at least one to two hours each evening, having sufficient of the ice in container. Using crock (not metal) container to preserve the cold temperature, for several hours, and it does not hinder should this stay on body longer. Using, then, the upper portion of body as the positive pole; that is, attaching the Appliance to wrist first and to ankle last. Do that. We will bring the normal conditions for this body, Mrs. [3849] we are speaking of. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes the pain in head and how can same be eliminated? (A) This has been given.
-
(Q) You will also have before you the conversation which took place Oct. 4, 1925, at my home, …, Alabama, conversation between Dr. […], Mr. […] & Mrs. [3849]. You will please advise and give information as to what will be the best to do in reference to this conversation, whether I should buy or sell my interest and if I am to change my business, what other business would be best to make a success physically and financially? (A) Buy, for we find with the increased vitality in the physical forces of the body, the abilities to make the financial success of the undertaking will be made greater, see? for with the taking on of more responsibilities, and taking on more vital force by the correction of the conditions, the body physically, mentally, financially, will be assisted and made better in every respect - see? Do that.
-
We are through for the present.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 12/6/25 W. L. Jones’ letter: “Mrs. [3849] received the reading and was very much pleased with it. The reading explained just the conditions. She makes the trip to Dr. Buir every other day. She says her head has not bothered her a time since treatment started.”
R2. 1/3/26 W. L. Jones’ letter: “We have received the appliance for Mrs. [3849]. She has been using it for a week or so now. She is so much better and sleeps so well at night. She says her limbs get very sore after applying the attachments. It maybe that you can tell just why this is, as I’m sure you have had readings and reports about this.”
R3. 1/14/26 EC’s letter to Thomas Brown: “Mrs. [3849] reports that she has had wonderful success, though she complains of the side of her leg hurting after taking the treatments. I think she must have been having the band too tight on her ankles. How are these arranged now for attachment to the body? A little strap, band or how?”
R4. 2/7/26 W. L. Jones’ letter: “Mrs. [3849] is getting better and better each day. As her husband says, ‘those strings sure do make her sleep.’ Before, she got no sleep. They are moving to Birmingham on the first of March to live and to open a boarding house. They have made arrangements to buy other half of the house as per reading [382], but the man who made the loan died a few days before the deal closed.
“I think she will want a reading for her daughter soon.”
R5. 2/10/26 Letter, requesting a Physical Reading for her daughter [3850]: “I want to thank you for what you have done for me. I feel greatly improved.”
