This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of March, 1926, in accordance with request made by her mother, Mrs. [3849], via Mr. W. L. Jones.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find in many respects this body is very good physically, yet there are those conditions that the body should be warned of, for there are the traces, or the conditions producing an undesirable effect in the system, and may become aggravated as to bring about detrimental conditions later on. These have to do, especially, with the eliminations and assimilation in the system, or that condition in the intestinal system, wherein the equilibrium, not being thoroughly established between the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexuses, the disturbance in the emunctories of the system causes the distress, and the organs that suffer thereby - the liver and kidneys especially. The effect of same is seen in capillary circulation and in the sympathetic organism, affecting then the ductless glands of the body, thyroids, Littre’s (?) [Leydig?], appendix, organs in pelvis, portions in the respiratory system. These are reflexes, as seen through the condition existent.

3. Then, the whole system needs the GENERAL condition to be equalized, see?

4. Then, to bring about such a condition, we would first, through deep manipulation, correct those conditions along the cerebro-spinal centers that show the distressed area, such as is seen in 2nd and 3rd dorsal, 7th and 8th, 9th and 10th dorsal, 3rd and 4th lumbar. Stimulate these, taking about 12 to 13 such treatments and adjustments.

5. When these have been completed; that is, when the whole amount has been taken, take these medicinal properties, that we may correct the system throughout. See?

6. Small doses of plain Phosphate of Soda each morning before meals, to which there is added 2 to 5 drops syrup of Sarsaparilla, and each third day add 1 drop Rectified Oil of Turp. Then this as a GENERAL tonic, being a stomacher and an astringent to portions of system.

7. To 1 gallon of rain water, add:

Sarsaparilla Root…2 ounces, Wild Cherry Bark…2 ounces, Yellow Dock Root…2 ounces, Elder Flower…2 ounces, Sassafras Root Bark…2 ounces.

Reduce this by simmering (not boiling) to 1 quart. Strain while warm and add 2 drams Balsam of Tolu, cut in 4 ounces of grain alcohol. Shake solution well before each dose is taken, which would be teaspoonful 3 times each day, before meals. Not too much meat of any character, and especially no fried meat, or pork. Rather vegetables, and especially divide normal; that is, when one that is eaten that grows ABOVE ground, be sure one is eaten that grows BELOW the ground.

8. Do that, and we will bring normal conditions for this body, [3850], Birmingham, Ala. We are through.
