This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of August, 1929, in accordance with request made by self, through Mr. George Klee.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions as surround same, here, [3862]. Now, we find there are existent conditions that have been brought about by the disturbances of the physical forces of the body, and by attempted corrections or changes brought about from the outside. More distress produced, rather than aiding this, apparently has then brought greater distresses. These conditions have to do with eliminations, as affect the system, not only as regarding tissue or organic functioning, but also as respecting the structural portions of body. These, unless changed, will eventually bring detrimental forces to the extent as will be those that would be hard to combat.

2. In meeting the needs of the conditions, it will require persistence and consistent treatment. Then, we would advise that, best that - would the body gain through these sources - place self where these may be followed closely. Do that. We are through for the present.

Mr. Edgar Cayce

Dear Sir:-

Am in receipt of reading which indicated to me that it is correct in so far as my having been troubled with my intestines. Would you mind giving me your interpretation of this reading as some of the phrases are not clear to me? What do you mean by existent conditions being brought about by disturbances of the physical forces of the body, and by attempted corrections or changes brought about from the outside? Also in what way do these conditions affect the structural portions of the body?

Another thing it mentions treatment, but does not explain the kind.

Do you think it will be necessary for me to have another reading in order to get the desired information? If so won’t you please try to give me one as soon as possible. Kindly let me know at your convenience and explain to me how to put the questions so as I will get the most satisfactory replies.

Dear Mrs. [3862]

Replying to yours of the 31st, the best explanation I can make to you would be for you to arrange to come to the institution for the treatments. Then you may sit in and listen at the check reading that would be given for the treatments to be applied at that time, and you would be able to ask the questions you desired concerning your condition. Can’t you arrange to do that? It is very hard, and almost impossible to get this information carried out properly anywhere else than in the institution. Arrange to do this. Let us hear from you.

R3. 9/17/29 EC’s letter to [3862]:

Mrs. [3862] …, N.Y.

Dear Mrs. [3862]:

I am just in receipt of a letter from Mr. Klee, telling me you had spoken with him regarding another reading to clarify the condition suggested for your improvement in the last reading. I wish we might be able to make this appointment immediately. That is why I had been so insistent that you come down, for - to be sure - we have to give preference to those who are in the hospital for their treatments, but we are making this for our first possible appointment that we can get this in. I regret the delay, but I can only do so much, and we will take this up as fast as we can. We hope the time is satisfactory, but if you find it possible - it will be much better for you to come here.

R4. 10/10/29 EC’s letter to [3862]:

Dear Mrs. [3862]:

If you have decided not to come to the hospital for your check reading and treatment according to the suggestions made in same, and you still wish to keep the appointment for the check reading, we would appreciate your sending a list of questions to be asked at that time in the reading.

We still insist that you come to the hospital. That is the best way to get results.

R5. 11/18/29 [3862]‘s letter:

My dear Mr. Cayce:

My next appointment for a reading is on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1929, 3 to 5 P.M. I will be at the … Hotel, … St., New York City.

The following are some questions which I would like to ask:-

What is disturbing the physical forces of the body? Advise what attempted corrections or changes brought about from the outside are causing disturbances in body.

In what way could these conditions effect the structural portions of the body?

What is the treatment, referred to in last reading, that would benefit my condition? And where (besides Cayce Hospital) could I get these treatments?

What is the cause of my headaches, and what is suggested to eliminate them?

Is it necessary to confine myself to special diet? If so, what diet? Are my eyes and tonsils in good condition? If not, what is the trouble?

Can you tell me what I can do to stop my son (13 years old) from wetting the bed?

Am sorry Mr. Cayce, that I cannot follow your suggestions to visit your hospital, at the present time. Whatever treatments are necessary, will have to have same near my home.
