GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present, giving the cause of the existing conditions; also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
-
EC: Yes. Now, while we find that the physical conditions of the body have been very alarming, we find at the present time these are responding better to those applications that are being meted to the body for the improvement of same, and while we would not have applied these conditions with this mode of treatments, yet we find the physical forces are beginning, as given, to respond to that being administered. Hence we would not change - under the physical conditions of the present forces of the body - from that being applied here.
-
Were the body to respond sufficient to be removed from the hospital, and from the administration of those conditions as are being given here, then we would outline that as WE would find for the better improvement and for bringing about the nearer normal conditions of this body.
-
Let these that are ministering, and those things as are being administered, be carried out until there is seen sufficient gaining of strength and vitality for the change in same.
-
Then we would bring the body physically East, and we will change those administrations for the body.
-
As for the physical conditions existent, we find that the inability to control that as producing the temperature has been the greater trouble; yet we find that there has been sufficient of the subjugation of these conditions at present for the body-physical force to re-assert itself, and to overcome in part those detrimental forces in the body. Keep, then, that being applied at the present time. When necessary for the change, we would give those things necessary to change to.
-
We are through for the present.

Dear Mr. […]
Replying to your letter and wire, as you see, the reading was taken, which indicates that your brother is some better, though under the present existing conditions there are no suggestions made for the improvement, other than that being administered, but as soon as he is able to be moved from the institution, we will possibly be able to get something that will add materially to the greater relief. We shall appreciate it if you will let us hear from you from time to time, for we would like to be of help if possible - though under the existing circumstances there seems to be nothing that would be suggested at the present time.
Trusting that we may be of service to you, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

R3. 8/4/27 David E. Kahn’s ltr. to Mr. [3869]‘s brother-in-law:
Chicago, Ill.
Dear […]
I certainly appreciate your letter of July 28th in reference to the reading [3869-1] on your brother-in-law. They must have given you the wrong information in reference to the reading being given after the patient died.
The reading was given at 20 minutes past 11 o’clock on the morning of May 7th. The patient died at 7 o’clock of the same day in the evening. The reading was not mailed until the following day and reached them on the 8th day of the month.
I thought it was rather odd that he would give a reading on a man who had already died without stating the fact that he had passed away. If you will look at the heading of the reading, you will find the time is written on the top of the page because every reading contains the information on the face of it as to the time given and who were the people present to hear it.
I hope that should you ever need his services again that I will be notified in plenty of time to help before it is too late.
We saw Ben and Edith off Sunday night and they certainly had a wonderful send-off party. Janet and Meyer, Mrs. Abe Seff, Ben and Edith, Sam Mack and his daughter. They went on the Leviathan. We gave them a great send off party. Sorry you were not here to join.
With kindest personal regards to you, believe me, always
Sincerely, DAVID E. KAHN DEK:BBS
