This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of March, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3907], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.   1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

  2. EC: Yes. As we find, general physical forces here are rather serious. These conditions where there is progressive loss of the use of the muscular forces and activity in locomotories and the limbs, have been active for some time. Little has been administered that has stayed or aided in controlling the lack of the building of the return energies in nerves, and thus in muscular and tendon forces.

  3. There is a lack of silicon [silicone ?] in the body. There has been the use of excesses of calcium chloride, which has acted as a restrainer or as an accumulation at portions of the ends of nerves and muscular forces, that gives at times a great deal of distress. Mostly it has caused the loss of the feeling or the use of the lower limbs especially.

  4. Multiple sclerosis is not necessarily only a lacking in the activity of secretions in the assimilating forces of the body from the liver but of the glandular forces also pertaining to the enabling of muscular forces and tendons to replenish or replace themselves, even by the activity in the use of same, or the lack of a chemical balance in the body.

  5. We find that these may be stayed. As to whether there will be recuperative forces will depend a great deal upon how consistent and how persistent the body is in carrying out these applications.

  6. For it has required, or there has been an accumulation of almost a cycle, or five to six years of the general deterioration. To check and then build may require a complete cycle (seven years). These applications though, will aid the body if they will be adhered to:

  7. First we would begin with the use of the low Wet Cell Appliance carrying vibratorially the properties of Atomidine, Gold, Camphor - alternately. For this body the use of these properties would be somewhat different, as there must be a variation in the activities.

  8. First make the Appliance a little stronger than ordinary, or to the gallon and a half of distilled water, use:

Copper Sulphate…2 pounds, Sulphuric Acid, CP…1 1/4 ounces, Zinc…6 drams, Willow Charcoal…1/2 pound.

  1. The Atomidine would be used twice to one application of each of the other solutions.

  2. The Appliance would be attached for thirty minutes each day. The large nickel plate, through which the solution passes vibratorially to the body, would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct, or on this body at the width of two fingers to the right from the navel center and three fingers up from that point.

  3. Begin with the Atomidine, which would be prepared in the proportions of one ounce commercial strength Atomidine to two ounces of distilled water. Attach the small copper plate to the 9th dorsal vertebra, the lower portion of same. Make the attachment in this manner for two days in succession.

  4. The next day use the Gold Solution in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold Sodium to each ounce of distilled water - and use three ounces of the solution. Attach the small plate to the 4th lumbar.

  5. The next day (which would be the fourth day, you see) use the Camphor - commercial strength, Spirits of Camphor, three ounces. Attach the small plate to the 2nd dorsal.

  6. Then commence over again, using the Atomidine two days, the Gold Solution one day, the Camphor Solution one day, and so on.

  7. Do disconnect each solution when not in use, and keep the U-shaped connections clean. Prepare at least twenty minutes for each solution before the attachment is made to the body.

  8. Renew the Appliance every thirty days. Change each Solution every thirty days.

  9. After each treatment with the Appliance, daily, give the body an oil rub, using this combination of oils:

Peanut Oil…3 ounces, Olive Oil…1 ounce, Lanolin (melted)…1/4 ounce.

Massage these thoroughly into the spine, especially across the lumbar-sacral areas and the limbs. From the toes go upward, massaging feet, ankles, calf of leg, knees and the thigh and all very thoroughly.
