This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home in Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 7th day of June, 1932, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [391], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [391] and Mildred Davis.]

Time of Reading 10:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [391] - this we have had before.

  2. Many are the changes in the general physical forces of the body. Most of these, as we find, are on the improve, while there is yet lacking that proper coordination in the functioning of the liver, as respecting the activities both in the excretory and in the secretive functioning. Hence we find that there are periods when the body feels listless, the body fails to find that rest brings the recuperative forces as seemingly necessary, and with an activity the body soon becomes fatigued, tired, heavy dragging feet, dizziness or light-headedness, dull headache at other times, with dazzling spots before the eyes, bad tastes in the mouth, with a tendency of feeling a drawing within, the saliva apparent]y dry and at others too much - yet not tasting well. These, as we find, are effects of the liver’s activity.

  3. We will find, under the varying conditions and circumstances in the present, that it would be well that there be added to the system those physical properties or elements from without, that may act with the elements from within, to create a near normalcy. Not that there should become the dependence upon medicinal properties, but rather that an equal balance may be created within the system.

  4. As we find, these would be in the present, then, the proper conditions to make for a betterment throughout the muscular forces, the nerve energy, the elasticity to the whole functioning of the system:

  5. Take one evening before retiring two teaspoonsful Milk of Magnesia.

  6. The next evening take a teaspoonful Milk of Bismuth.

  7. The next we would take an Alophen pellet.

  8. Each morning, noon and night, before the meal is taken, take a heaping or full teaspoonful of pure Olive Oil.

  9. Keep the activities such that the waist and the lower extremities are well exercised.

  10. Do not have, until there is a better change in the system, too much of the superficial activity in the strong sunshine. Morning and evening would be well, but too much of the ultra-violet from ten-thirty to three thirty would be injurious to the better conditions of the body. We would have the lack of the proper circulation throughout the system.

  11. For the lower limbs and feet, we would continue to massage with those properties that have been given, and take the rocking exercise morning and evening on feet; and we will find these muscles, these tendons, these bursae throughout the feet, the ankle and lower limbs, will strengthen.

  12. In the matter of diet, be mindful that these keep well-balanced. Not too much of the meats that tend to make heaviness in system, but as those of a well balanced fruit and vegetable diet.

  13. Ready for questions.

  14. We are through for the present.
