This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 10th day of February, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [3924] via Dr. Al C. Layne.

1. LS: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief for this body.

2. EC: Now we find there are some abnormal conditions with this body, and these conditions are of the submerged or hidden causes for the existing conditions that exist in the system, and they have to do with the eliminations and the assimilations in the system, for the disturbance in the functioning portion of the system, and the distresses that come, are the results rather than causes of disturbances in the physical forces of the body.

3. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [3824] we are speaking of. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find varies in its condition; that is, there are times when we find that the system has sufficient of rebuilding, replenishing elements necessary for system. At others the system seems to be on the verge of a condition bordering on that of aenemitized condition in the effect of blood functioning. Hence we have a subnormal pressure. Again we have abnormal in the extent that the dullness, the fullness, to portions of the system as produced by this reaction or taxation, as we shall see, in the system.

5. In the elements of the blood itself, at the present time we find this better than usual; yet there are conditions in the elements showing how that eliminations are not directed in the proper channels.

6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in this we find there has been given as the cause of the troubles, yet this is not altogether the conditions. While there are improper reactions through some nerve plexuses, there is that element in the circulation, in blood, in the reaction in nerve, in the functioning direct of organs under such disturbance, that would show this to be the condition, minus the result as would be expected were this wholly the cause of the conditions. In certain centers, then, in the nerve system do we find these show and exhibit this condition. Those about the solar plexus center giving then the reaction, the distresses, as are caused at times through the digestive system, through the hypogastric and through the kidneys proper, and again through the functioning of the heart’s forces, for with this disturbance directing proper to the arterial forces of hypogastric and pneumogastric circulation, the disturbances spread through the system. This a reflex action entirely. In the sympathetic system this partakes of the existing conditions, for the mental forces of the body are good, and assist the body often. That is, the body, under stress or strain of mental forces, will carry the physical forces of the body beyond the physical endurance, and the body not conscious of such condition until the reaction is such as to show that the strain is too great on the whole physical body.

7. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, brain forces very good.

8. Sensory organism affected by the conditions in blood supply, in the poor eliminations as affect the organs of sensory system and of the coordinating between the cerebro-spinal, sympathetic and the sensory organism.

9. THROAT, BRONCHIALS, LARYNX, in the throat proper, in the nasal cavities and in the tissue of the organs of throat and bronchials we find the effect of poor elimination.

10. In the lungs proper, no organic conditions, yet disturbances, especially through that of the secondary cardiac reaction in lung.

11. No organic heart trouble, yet through nerve and blood supply both do we find distress.

12. In the functioning of the digestive system, this we find rather a strain of the system than lack of functioning of the digestive system; yet this fails to function only under stress of blood and nerve system.

13. Liver, spleen, pancreas, show the effect of slow circulation and increased circulation; this having its effect on the hepatics and on the hypogastric region, as has been shown, yet not organic conditions.

14. Then, in the Peyers’ region, produced by a pressure (a lick apparently, received in this region in times back), where there has formed a lesion (internal), do we find the seat of the trouble in this body, and gradually has this grown in the system, until the disturbance through nerve system, the disturbance through circulation, the effect of these disturbances in the organs, bring about the condition in the body, bringing then exaggerated forces, as we have through the functioning of the plexus in the solar plexus region and its branches and tributaries, as it were, in frontal portion of the body. Hence the distress caused to the central portion or to the umbilicus and that region in the body at times. Pains to the head, distressing, tingling, feeling to the lower limbs, produced from an unequalized nerve distribution and blood supply, and the pressure bringing, as it were, an impoverished circulation, both in the blood supply and especially in the lymph supply in system.

15. Then, to bring the normal conditions to this body, we would apply to the solar plexus region that of the Radium Applicator (prepared by Radium Applicator Company, Los Angeles, California). This we find will stimulate the system, stimulate the plexus proper, as to bring an equalization of the nerve distributed forces and of the whole physical body; adding to this (after this has been taken) occasionally (once each week we would give) a thorough massage, or deep manipulation by osteopathic forces, to keep the whole system developing and eliminating in the proper channels, as the system is set in order, as it were, by the effects of the equalized vibration created for circulation of nerve and blood system.

This has reference to reading of Feb. 10th. 1925. I have not written before because I wanted to get the Radium Pad and commence its use before I said anything. I secured the pad last Saturday the 7th. and put it on right away. Sunday night I was taken with a stitch in my back and for the past two days can hardly get about. I don’t know whether the pad had anything to do with that or not.

Some things about the reading seem to fit my case mighty well. I do not have much faith in the Radium Pad for nothing short of an electric chair seems to have any effect on me what ever. I have not gone over the reading with my Osteopath yet but will commence the treatment by him in a very few days. In fact I am going to follow your instructions. In the meantime if you have any further suggestions that will help me I certainly would appreciate hearing from you.
