This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th St. & Ocean, Va. Beach, Va., this 2nd day of January, 1932, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [3938], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [5662].
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes. Now, as we find, the conditions that have disturbed the body, Mrs. [3938], have been called by different ones different disturbances. While the heart’s action shows an irregularity, while those various conditions in that portion of system would indicate some congestions and tie-ups, as we find, these are rather of the reflex nature than causes. While those conditions may apparently at times become so severe as to warrant the necessity of suddenly relaxing the body, these - as we would find - are NOT of a nature NECESSARILY that would prove to be other than an AGGRAVATING nature, unless allowed to remain until there were - through those contractions that are produced in the nervous system - a condition in the heart’s action itself, that as would cause either too much blood STOPPING in heart or so tax the incentives of the muscular forces as govern same as to BECOME one that WOULD make for an enlarged organ itself. But will all of those conditions as cause or produce these, through the various effects that are in the system as related to the balancing of the circulation, as related to the lymph and the nervous portion of the body, be taken into consideration - so as to prevent much of this disarrangement that produces the abrasions over system, as well as that which affects the heart’s action - these, as we find, would bring gradually about a normalcy that would be more effective for this body, [3938], we are speaking of.
-
In the activities, then, there should be applied rather those forces that act with the IMAGINATIVE forces or concentration of the mental body, added WITH the changed vibrations as would come from the Radio-Active Appliance - and this principally attached to the right wrist and left ankle, this at least three days, and then the opposite - to the right ankle and left wrist; that is, making the attachments first, see - first - to the right wrist and left ankle, see, for three days - then two days, right ANKLE and left wrist. Now that doesn’t mean to the left wrist and right ankle! It means the right ANKLE and left wrist - see?
-
In this same period there should be the thorough massage in the neuropathic manner; not wholly that of the Swedish or the osteopathic massage, but NEUROPATHIC massage - coming from, or in conjunction with, those of the SYMPATHETIC nerve system of the body. This we would give at least TWICE each day, WHEN there are those disorders - see - either from the abrasions, sickness of the stomach, or this quick pulsation of the heart. At other periods they should be done once a day.
-
Be mindful of the diet, that it is kept well balanced - with a tendency towards an excess of the alkalines. Not sweets, not too much of any condiment - but in twenty to forty days we would give the changes necessary. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) How long should the battery be applied at a time? (A) Thirty minutes.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 1/2/32 GD’s letter to Mrs. [3938]: ”…If your reading is satisfactory, and you desire to follow the treatment suggested, I would advise that you write to Mr. Gray Salter…for further details concerning the Radio-Active Appliance, the cost, theory and purpose of it. This is a new appliance that has been invented right here through our information, and this young electrician is giving his entire time to the perfecting of these according to specifications in the readings.
“I am sure you will be able to find a good neuropath without any trouble. Should there be any part of the reading you would like to discuss with us, please don’t hesitate to write
- because we are always only too glad to help in any way possible.
“Won’t you please give my kindest regards to Mrs. [5662].
“Hoping that we have been and may be of service to you…”
R2. 1/14/32 Mrs. [5662]‘s letter to EC: “Am so sorry to tell you that Mrs. [3938]‘s reading was very unsatisfactory to her. You see, she has a definite illness that cannot be analyzed as anything but that, and you hadn’t mentioned it in her reading. Could it be possible that you sent the wrong message to her…”
R3. 1/23/32 EC’s letter to Mrs. [5662]: “I received yours of the 14th, and am very much surprised at what you have to say about Mrs. [3938]‘s reading and how unsatisfactory it is to her. I cannot explain the situation. I am today writing to her also. It may be the indications are there, and because the trouble isn’t called by name she hasn’t seen or understood the information. That is why we usually ask individuals to make a list of questions, so that they may better understand the information that comes, and so there may not be a wrong interpretation of that they have been told
- or are very sure that exists. Anything we can do to get the correct explanation or interpretation of the existent condition, or that may be of help in any way, please know that we are more than glad to do it. We are, as you understand, trying to make a study of each and every case, and assure you that we will want to interpret this seeming misdirection, and find out what is the cause of this misunderstanding or miscomprehension.
“We want to thank you very much for your letter, and trust that you yourself are feeling fine - that your condition is constantly on the improve…”
R4. 1/23/32 EC’s letter to Mrs. [3938]: “We have just received a letter from Mrs. [5662] telling us there must have been some misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the message gotten for you sometime ago. We do not know how to explain this; possibly there is no explanation - it may have been just an error. Usually we have asked that each individual supply a list of questions to have asked, when not present, so that
- should there be any specific condition - there might be no misinterpretation of the information obtained. Would you be kind enough to give us a list of questions, and let us make another appointment? Or just what are your wishes in the matter? It is our desire to be of service only. Of course, we cannot - and do not - make any promises or predictions of what the information will be, but we certainly would like to go to the bottom of this and analyze the situation for our own satisfaction as well as yours.
“Hoping you will let us hear from you, and assuring you of our desire to be of help only…”
