This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 12th day of October, 1933, in accordance with request made by the father, Mr. […], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

At the home of Time of Reading his grandfather, 11:15 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Alabama. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [395]; this we have had before.

2. As we find, there are considerable improvements in the general well-being of the body from that we have had before.

3. For the next two weeks we would continue with those things IN TOTO that we have already outlined for the body.

4. Then, after that period, we would add small quantities of Atomidine in the water given the body to drink, see? In half a glass of water put one to two drops of Atomidine. This would be given two or three times each day. When water is given, put one to two drops of Atomidine in about half a glass of water; and give ALL the water, even though it requires two or more times of giving water to the body, see?

5. Then we would change also, somewhat, the type of manipulations for the body. Massage more in the lumbar and sacral area; not too deep, but take a longer period for the massage and work to the feet; particularly working the feet and the bottoms or soles of the feet; for this will enable the body to soon gain that strength and an equilibrium sufficient to make for more activities in a different or better POSITION for the body and the body-organs.

6. We would also begin near this time, or soon thereafter (that is, after the two weeks), with the low electrical vibrations in the wet cell battery, see?

7. In the application of this, the first or positive anode would be attached to the 4th dorsal plexus; and the negative (or somewhat larger plate) would be attached to the umbilici, though to the right and a little above the umbilicus proper; so that the vibrations that come from same pass through the DIGESTIVE area which will affect the organs and glands of digestion, making for a more balanced assimilation of forces through the system.

8. Do not keep the battery vibrations longer than three minutes in the beginning, or for the first three or four weeks. The application would be made each evening, just before retiring. Keep the anodes separate, or disconnected, and keep them polished brightly at all times before attaching to the body.

Keep the diets much in the same manner as we have outlined. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) About when should he be able to talk and walk? (A) There should not be too great an anxiety about this, but keep the activities and the forces that we have outlined, with patience and persistence, and we will find - by the time it is necessary for the checking or re-checking through these sources - there will be indications of the efforts on the part of the body.

The better mental development, of course, must come. This low vibration or change that we will create through the electrical forces will add to the ABILITIES of the nerve system to function the more normal; hence carrying impulses in their nearer normal manner.

10. (Q) Will his colon improve without an operation, or would an operation be advisable? (A) An operation may eventually be advisable, but NOT in the present. This will depend upon the manner in which the manipulations are carried on.

11. (Q) Will he be alright mentally when he is older? (A) He should. This, too, depends upon the manner, the positions, the way, in which conditions are carried on. We have got to build a great deal, to be a normal body, to be sure.

12. (Q) How long should the treatment outlined here be carried on before a check reading is necessary for further suggestions? (A) As given, in two weeks we would change to this treatment outlined here. Then in four weeks we would give further instructions.

13. (Q) Any advice to the parents regarding the best physical and mental development of this body? (A) As the applications of the electrical vibratory forces are being made, let each - with CONCERTED and COOPERATIVE activity - look on and meditate on their problems respecting the development of THIS body; for it will be through prayer, through meditation, through the seeking, that the mental aids will come to them. For, if the condition is considered a burden, it becomes a yoke that is heavy; but considered in the light that the soul needs the care of THESE, these that have the ability within themselves to make the association this little soul needs in the present, there will come joy - and contentment.

R1. 11/1/33 Father’s note: “We have not been able to start with the baby on your last treatment yet, as we have not heard from the man in Ky. who makes the battery. As soon as we do will let you know.”

R2. 4/30/34 Reply to EC’s inquiry: “He had double bronchial pneumonia about Dec. 8th and other complications with it, and has been in serious condition since then. We had pictures made of his lungs about 10 days ago and they showed he had unresolved pneumonia at this time. His temperature runs high every day now and he is in a very weakened condition; is also having a lot of trouble with his stomach. We had to take him to hospital for treatment with pneumonia and he has been under care of physician since, was the reason I did not write you any more.
