This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 15th day of January, 1923.

[Edgar Cayce; (?), Conductor; (?), Steno.]

Time of Reading 3:15 P. M.

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had it before, you see. Now, we find, there is but little change in the condition of this body since last we had it. We still have the lesion here as formed here at the fifth and sixth dorsal, and the effect which is to the governing of the secondary forces to the cardiac plexus and that has somewhat to do with the blood pressure of the body, as we have given. The force is rather that of the reflex conditions to the veins, allowing the full flow of blood to remain in these channels.

  2. The effect of the smoking of tobacco is a stimulant to the nerves of the body. In moderation it is not injurious to the body. The excess is what produced the trouble to the system.

  3. The contraction of the centers from the solar plexus down, and relaxation from the seventh and eighth dorsal to the cervical will assist the muscular and nerve forces to balance the pressure in the circulation. The massage to nerve centers governing the flow of the circulation in their centers will do more to equalize the pressure than anything else - a great deal more than anything taken into the system to produce over-stimulation or over-astringency.

  4. Follow along the lines as we have given, for the condition through the bronchials, - a stimulus to the system as it would receive through the inhalation and relaxation it would receive through the massage and manipulation. Do that.

  5. (Q) Should this treatment be given by an osteopath or chiropractor? (A) Better by a neuropath than by either - an osteopath who understands his business can give it. Regular massage to nerve and circulatory centers, rather than by structural leverage, to relax and contract the muscular forces. This should be more. We have a deep lesion at the fifth and sixth dorsal - on either side - deep lesion.
