This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of March, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - through mother - Mrs. [4041], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, THERE IS A RIVER.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - what a large girl! We have the body here - quite a body - [4030].

3. As we find, there are disturbances preventing the better normal functioning of the body. These, we find, are rather of a complex nature. While they are in the present dependent one upon the other, with the correction of the one, we may set about better conditions for the functioning of the glands, especially as related to the pineals and the adrenals, that will - with other balances kept - make for better conditions throughout the body.

4. In the areas of the 9th dorsal to the lumbar we find there are pressures that are producing the extreme discomfort, especially at and just before the periods. These are causing the activity in the organs of the pelvis and the position of the womb itself in the vagina to produce these disturbances. The release of these may be brought about by deep osteopathic adjustments. If these are given strongly enough, they should release the disturbance; though it may require a little period - that is, at least twenty to twenty-eight treatments. Unless these conditions are aggravated by other disturbances, we find that there should be the correction. If not, then the packing of the womb with the medications that prevent adherences - along with the osteopathic corrections - should bring about normal conditions here. These come from those pressures existent in the areas between the ileum plexus and the 9th dorsal plexus.

5. Also for aiding in keeping an equal balance with these adjustments being made, we would daily have one hour the Radio-Active Appliance as an equalizer to the circulation and to better establish coordination through the channels of elimination. Preferably use this Appliance as the body prepares for rest of evening, or when ready to retire, but be consistent with this if there would be the benefits gained from same. There will not be experienced any vibration or any reaction from the use of the Appliance, until the latter portion of the treatment, for it will gradually change the vibrations of the body. Thus the decrease in the weight will be very gradual.

6. Then consider the diet. Reduce sugars, or eliminate these.

7. Do take two ounces of grape juice, (Welch’s preferably) in an ounce of plain water (not carbonated water) four times each day, half an hour before each meal and before retiring at night.

8. Use the period when the Radio-Active Appliance is attached as a period not of conversation but rather of contemplation and meditation, as periods in which the body will review its own experiences in the earth, its relationships and that the body is planning to do with its life in relationships to others, and as to the reasons for the body being in the material experience in the present; and what it intends to do with the opportunities for being an expression of its ideals in this sojourn.

9. Let thy prayer oft be:

LORD, IN THY PROMISES TO THE CHILDREN OF MEN, THOU HAST GIVEN THAT AS WE CALL, AS WE PRAY, THOU WILT HEAR. HERE AM I, O GOD! USE ME IN THE WAY IN WHICH I, AS THY SERVANT, MAY BE A GREATER MANIFESTATION OF THY BLESSINGS TO AND AMONG THE CHILDREN OF MEN. THY WILL, O GOD, IN MINE BE DONE!

She is greatly benefited already and will continue as directed. She is interested in your work and is much benefited spiritually as well as physically…”

R2. 11/6/44 Mother [4041]‘s letter: ”…I do want to tell you that [4030] has been following your instructions given in her physical reading; has been using the electric circulator for some months and taking the treatments from Dr. Shellenberger in this city. We took the reading to him when she first called on him and he seemed to go along with it and except for the time she wasn’t able to go because of an acute appendectomy operation, he has been treating her since last June and two weeks ago she was O.K. She has been able to adjust her weight for the first time, and keep it at a desired level for three months. Her monthly periods are normal also for the first time and for her general good health, I do feel grateful…”
