GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4064].
-
As we find, there are disturbances in the alimentary canal. Parts of these conditions are from irritation in the gall duct area and parts are the reflex actions through the areas of the colon and the entrance of same from the smaller intestines.
-
There is rather a combination. We find that too much fats have been taken, and that the forming of gases in the alimentary canal has taken place because of lack of proper digestion from the activities of the gastric flows from pancreas and spleen.
-
We would apply hot Castor Oil Packs over the areas of the gall duct and liver, extending to the caecum on the right side, at least half way across the abdomen. Use three to four thicknesses of old flannel saturated with the Castor Oil and apply directly to the body, covering with an oilcloth to prevent soiling the linens and then applying an electric pad for at least an hour to an hour and a half. Do this each day for three days in succession.
-
Then take internally about a tablespoonful of Olive Oil.
-
The next day after this have a colonic irrigation, scientifically given, to cleanse the colon.
-
Rest for five days from all applications, then repeat the Packs for three days in succession, an hour and a half each day.
-
Then take the second dose of Olive Oil at least two tablespoonsful this time, and the next day have another colonic irrigation.
-
Then leave off for a week. During that time have at least two good osteopathic adjustments, tending to empty the gall duct and to stir the activity of the liver.
-
Then have another series of the Castor Oil Packs, followed by the two tablespoonsful of Olive Oil and then the third colonic.
-
Be mindful during these periods that there are liquids and semi-liquids as to diet and no heavy foods.
-
When the regular diet is begun, refrain from quantities of fried foods ever, but keep a normal balance. Fish, fowl and lamb may be taken but principally vegetables, and at least one meal each day should consist mainly of raw vegetables such as lettuce, celery, carrots, prepared in various forms. These may be grated or ground and prepared often with gelatin, or they may be taken with mayonnaise.
-
These should bring nearer normal conditions for this body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Is my occupation the cause of my ailment? (A) The occupation has little or nothing to do with it. It is more the diet, that has been very far wrong and the conditions existent in the liver and gall duct areas.
-
(Q) Does this same condition cause the rapid pulse? (A) To be sure it causes the rapid pulse, also the skin irritation at times.
-
(Q) What will give me a new interest in life? (A) Change the attitude towards life. Be interested more in creative influences and in spirituality, and there will be a better interest in life.
Of course, the change of the general conditions physically will have much to do with the attitude. For with a constant pain, or cramping pains and disturbance through alimentary canal, the general interest in life becomes such that the body appears rather peeved with most everything.
Do as indicated and we will make better conditions for the body.
- We are through with this reading.

For about a year and a half I have been having trouble with my stomach and intestines. Most of the time I have a sickening feeling…always full of gas. I have no pep or energy.
