GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find there has been an accident to the physical structure of the body, and it is affecting the body in specific manners. The injury is to the spine in two instances, or places, and the reaction is to produce spasmodic conditions in the body - at the 1st and 2nd cervical and in the coccyx. Hence the retraction as is shown by the reaction to the end of the spinal column nerves proper, and the drawing to the body.
-
We would, to correct same, have immediate osteopathic adjustments for those conditions along the spine, applying the light rays to the body to quiet the nerves and overcome narcotics in the system. Do that immediately, and we will find the body will respond to these conditions, [if] were the corrections made [will be] in the proper manner, see?
-
We are through for the present.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 4/21/26 David E. Kahn’s letter: ”…You have been in New York. First the baby [4089]: It had one convulsion after the other for 8 to 10 minutes and no one knew what to do. The doctors came - olive oil, castor oil, bromides and what not, but your reading was perfect. At midnight I got Dr. Kraus, and in one look he said it was the second and third dorsal or vertebra and you said 1st and second. By 10 a.m. the next morning fever reduced from 105 to normal and no more convulsions to this day. Did you get a check? You will…”
R2. 4/30/26 David E. Kahn’s letter: ”…In reference to the child [4089] you no doubt have heard from Mrs. [4177]. She is waiting for her telephone bill so that if the telephone call is not charged to her bill, she wants to send you an additional check for that. Mr. [4171] has been singing your praises widely. Did you receive the check from Mrs. [4177] for the reading?
I know that you will…”
R3. 5/4/26 EC’s letter to David E. Kahn: ”…In reference to the [4089] child, I have heard nothing from these people. I had a little note from Mrs. [4177] enclosing the check for $10.00. Wonderful - if they received the benefits from same that you say they did. You know, I am not harping on this sort of thing, Dave, but its the same old lesson of the Judge. A great many people contact good to the detriment of themselves on account of their littleness, for the gospel is true that says: ‘There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is sin [death]’…”
R4. 5/17/26 Mother Kahn [DEK’s mother]‘s letter: ”…That was a wonderful reading you gave the [4089] child. Mr. [4171] was the cause of a talk Dave gave at Flushing. Although they did not respond so generously themselves but will be the direct cause of many other readings…”
R5. 5/27/27 EC’s letter to Thomas B. Brown: ”…A more recent case of a child was the [4089] baby in New York where the child was 2 1/2 years old and began having spasms and had continued having these every few hours for about 48 hours and the doctors in charge had despaired of its life, when they phoned me here asking for a reading at once. When the reading was taken, it gave that the child had had a fall which was causing a pressure in the first and second cervicals. Only three treatments were given this child, and in three days it was perfectly normal. In fact only had one more convulsion after the doctor who took charge of the case treated it…”
