This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce in Birmingham, Alabama, this 6th day (Monday) of November, 1922.

1. FEM: Now, Mr. Cayce, you are going to sleep.

Now, Mr. Cayce, you are asleep, and all of the organs of your body will function properly, and you will hear me and answer all of my questions.

You have before you to-night the body of [4107] and the body is present in this room. Now, Mr. Cayce, I want you to go over this body that you have before you from head to foot, examine the body carefully and tell me of any ailments or disorders that you may find within the body, and then tell me what will cure or relieve the body from the conditions that you find, rheumatic or otherwise - [4107] present in this room.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, with the conditions in this body we find there are effects produced that are apparently very far distant from the real seat of the trouble, or the functioning of the conditions through the organs producing the condition. Now, these are the conditions as we find them in this body, [4107], we are speaking of: The seat or the beginning of the trouble, we find, is caused from the condition that exists in the sacrum, in the first and second segment of the sacrum. There is an impingement there of nerves that assist in the functioning of the kidneys in their direct action, especially with the return of the nerve and muscular energy with blood forces coming from the lower extremities, so that the circulation, especially in those of the lymphatics, produces an overtaxation to such an extent as to cause the inability of the circulation to come back toward the body properly from these extremities. See?

FEM: Yes, sir.

3. Or as we would have by a literal demonstration of the condition that exists, the extremities are as a magnet to the body, each limb representing an arm or cycle of this. When the impingement is at the center so as to cause a distraction from the ends, the magnet or nerve forces as represented in the body do not draw toward the center as they should. See?

FEM: Yes, sir.

4. The effect of this condition over the system through reflex forces shows in the blood-supplying conditions, especially through the hepatic circulation, causing an aenematized condition of blood, the action of foods in the system not to be distributed as it were, or to gain vitality from the foods as taken in the system. See?

FEM: Yes, sir.

5. The functioning of the rest of the organs, we find, is very good considering the condition that exists in the body. To correct this condition in the body, [4107], we are speaking of, we would have a threefold treatment to the body. First, there must be local heat or steam, or packs of heat or steam or vapor applied to this portion of the body, and the correct adjustments made to relieve the impingement of the centers, if we would bring a permanent cure to this body. This can be done if these are done in this proper manner and form, you see.

FEM: Yes, sir.

6. That is, heat must be applied to the lower lumbars and the upper portion of the sacrum, you see.

FEM: Yes, sir.

7. Then adjustments made when the body is correctly relaxed. Then by treatment along the sciatic nerves - now this portion will make it painful to the body for the first few treatments; after that it will be better - of the violet rays, you see.

FEM: Yes, sir.

8. And of the medicinal properties taken into the system to correct the balance of forces through the blood supply and through the action of the hepatic circulation, those that would be taken would be:

Toris Compound…1 ounce, Sherry Wine or Whiskey…6 ounces, Syrup of Sarsaparilla…1 ounce.

The dose would be: Teaspoonful three times each day before meals. Let the diet be of cereals and fruits rather than meats. Take the medicinal properties after the adjustments are made in the spinal column, you see.

FEM: Yes, sir.

9. The violet, while this is being taken, and while the medicinal properties are being taken. In from eight to nine weeks there will be no appearance whatever of this condition in this body, you see.

FEM: Yes, sir.

10. It will be wholly removed for we will move the obstruction that causes this. Do this. We are through.

11. Now, Mr. Cayce, you will forget all about this reading you have given. You are feeling all right, and all of the organs of your body will function properly. You are feeling good. Now wake up in two minutes feeling fine and all right, and absolutely free from headaches.
