EC: Now, in this body, in the physical, we find the conditions rather critical, serious, for the infections as have begun to give the rise to conditions that bring so many of the organs into their functioning to such an abnormal degree are taking the life, the vital forces in life of a physical nature, and using and burning those up. We find that the taxing to the system has gone beyond other than that of only a stay or an assistance reached through the assistance given in those of the conditions that bring rest and give chance only for the vital forces to recuperate sufficiently to meet the needs of the body to sustain the physical life in the body.
-
The condition as exists in the nerve system, that exists in the trunk portion of the body, where operations have had their effect, causing lesions, causing the infections to again show and exert themselves in the body. These, we find, are of the nature that they are building upon the vital forces, rather [than?] being subdued by the warring forces in the system. We can, therefore, only give those of the sedative nature in the form as this:
Eucalyptol…1 minim, Canadian Balsam…1 minim, Oil of Turp…1 minim, Heroin…one-one-sixtieth of a grain. [1/60 grain?]
This as a dose, and through manipulation, osteopathically given, so centralize the conditions that they will not become spread farther in the system, so that they will become centralized and will not give so much in the system the poisons as are coming from infections as come from the system itself; using as lotions those properties as would be found in a mixture:
Plantain Root and Stem…6 ounces,
with 6 ounces of water reduced very low, and the juice as obtained from this still reduced lower, until this may be mixed with the oil of butterfat and applied as lotions to those portions where infections show.
- Do this, and we will bring the best to this body.

R1. 6/23/24 M. B. Wyrick’s letter: “I rec’d the reading for Mrs. [4131] Friday morning [6/20/24] - took it to the office of her son. He was out. Note by enclosed [enclosure missing] mention of her death. She died Friday [6/20/24]. The reading was requested too late to do her any good.”

B1. 3/16/24 Letter from [4131] to Harriet M. Saxmann, D.C.: “In Mercy Hospital all last week. Returned Sat. P.M. so weak from X-Ray treatments I can scarcely speak. A thousand thanks for your kind remembrance. Soon as I am able will call you on the phone.”
B2. 3/18/24 Harriet M. Ellsworth Saxmann, D.C.’s letter to EC: “I am deeply interested in your wonderful gift to mankind and live in hopes of being instrumental with others to see you in a place used for your sacred work.
I am a very good friend of Mr. Wyrick’s - both my good husband and myself are and both of us are equally interested in your cause.
This letter today is not in my interest however, but that of a very dear friend [4131] who is now suffering tortures as her letter will explain, as I had sent her some flowers. She is not doctoring with me but I have felt since knowing of her first operation that something is not being done right to keep that body alive. She has little faith in psychic work as no one has ever reached her with anything tangible. I feel if you will please give me a reading for her that I can show her son, whereby he can know if she is being treated right or not or if not where she can go, or what must be done, that he will gladly send you a fee - or if he don’t I will, because to me its a crime to see a wonderful woman of her ability die by inches as I feel she now is doing.
Enclosed find note of her personal handwriting and please answer and give a reading at your very earliest convenience as I am doubly anxious to help her if there is any definite help.
Send reading to me and I will take it to her son. If there are any questions kindly write and ask me.
Reading of [4131] Room … Palmer House
Full Reading of her health. If she is doing the proper things to get well. Were operations necessary? What is her correct diagnosis? Is it or is it not Cancer?…”
B3. 3/20/24 EC’s letter to Dr. Saxman: “I have yours of the 18th, for which I thank you very much, and it is very gratifying to know that you are interested in my work. I am also glad to know that you are a friend of my good friend Mr. Wyrick, for I feel that he is one of the best men it has been my pleasure to know.
Now, in reference to your desire to have me make a reading for Mrs. [4131] nothing would give me greater pleasure than to try and be of assistance. However, as you state in your letter, Mrs. [4131] knows nothing of the work, nor has any interest in Psychic work of any kind. It is one of my absolute rules that I do not give a reading for anyone unless they desire it themselves, or someone upon whom they are dependent and a direct relative desires same for their benefit. I would suggest, therefore, that you talk to her son relative to this condition, and if you do not wish to broach the subject to her direct that you have him make the request for his mother, by filling in the enclosed card, noting that he makes the request in person.
Now, Doctor, please do not understand that I wish to be unreasonable in this matter, but my experience of the last twenty years has proven to me that if there is a possibility of any help the desire and the belief or faith must be in the heart and soul of the person when they request, and they must themselves have that desire, else there is no good to be accomplished.
I certainly appreciate your letter, and trust that sometime in the near future I may have the pleasure of meeting you and your good husband and talking with you relative to the work.
Trusting that you will understand and appreciate my position, with kindest regards… P.S. You will notice notation is made on the enclosed card as to the day and hr. this rdg. could be made, if she or her son desires this be made. It will be necessary to have this card back in time to know that the engagement is being kept.”
B4. 3/26/24 Son [4130] obtained Reading on Oklahoma land.
B5. 6/19/24 M. B. Wyrick’s wire: “Please give reading for Mrs. [4131] … Blvd. Mail to me. Request of her son. An emergency. Please rush.”
