This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 16th day of August, 1924, in accordance with request made by Mrs. [4133].

Time of Reading 5 miles West of 11:00 A. M. Dayton Savings Time. …, Texas.

1. GC: You will in detail the physical conditions of this body at the present time, with suggestion for the relief of same.

2. Now, we find the conditions are changed a great deal in this body from that as we have had heretofore. We find there are many conditions that are improved, while there is the show still of the inroads as made through the bacilli that is destructive to tissue, created by animal forces as taken in system from meats and from impurities as were not eliminated, and we find the properties as have been given in the system have assisted the body in creating more resistance in the whole system. This, however, is necessary to be kept in the manner and way that all physical forces may combat with this condition, and the body will find as it allows itself to partake of flesh that we will have this reaction in the system, and then we will find that with vegetable diet, especially those that have to do with the eliminating functions of the system, will give the rebuilding forces in the body. Well that all milk or butterfats that are taken be looked after, for there has been some from these sources that have not been good for the conditions in this body, [4133] we are speaking of.

3. In the vibrations then necessary to be accorded the system at this time, take these medicinal properties:

4. To one gallon of rain water, add:

Sarsaparilla Root…4 ounces, Wild Cherry Bark…2 ounces, Yellow Dock Root…2 ounces, Poke Root…20 grains, Mandrake Root…30 grains, Buchu Leaves…15 grains, Calisaya Bark…2 ounces.

5. Reduce this by simmering (not boiling) to one quart. Strain and while warm add 3 drams Balsam of Tulu cut in 4 ounces of grain alcohol. The dose would be 2 teaspoonsful 4 times each day. Take at least 2 quantities of this property. Also take every 2nd day 5 drops of the solution of gold and soda, 15 grains Chloride of Gold to 12 ounces distilled water, with 30 grains Bromide of Soda. The dose would be 5 drops in half glass of water, taking after this has been given in the system for one hour at least 10 minutes of violet ray over the whole system. Not too close to broken tissue in the body but so as to give the proper vibration in system to assist in elimination.

6. No meats whatever, and have the system well cleansed in all conditions, externally and internally, using mild laxatives when necessary, preferably using high enemas of olive oil, Nujol or such characters. Well also that the body wear the electrical or the radium pads, as constructed by Radium Laboratories in California - Los Angeles. Radium Applicator Company, Los Angeles.

7. Do these. We will find we will add years of usefulness to this body.

8. This is to assist in relieving the body.

9. We are through for the present.

Dear Mrs. [4133] -

Have yours of the 8th. Am sorry to know that you are having trouble getting the violet ray treatment. Of course the machine is useless to you without having the necessary current to run same. I believe, however, you will find that practically any or all of these machines may be run by storage batteries, and whatever type machine that you have, if you will write a letter to the manufacturers they will let you know what type battery to get to operate this machine.

I’m certainly in hopes that you will be able to get this, that you may carry out fully the suggestions as were made in the reading. If you’re not able to do this, it will perhaps be necessary for you to go to some place where you may obtain this current for the machine for sufficient time to get the results.

Am in hopes that you’re feeling a great deal better than that you WILL be able to carry out all of these suggestions.
