1. EC: Now, we find there are some conditions that are abnormal in this body, they have to do with the functioning of the organs in the digestive tract and are caused by the acute condition in which the system was found to be - when there were certain elements taken into the system that were at a distinct advariance to the physical condition under which the system was found to be in when certain other stimulants to the gall ducts were taken into the system.

2. The rest or that portion showing the functioning of the blood forces is good, or excellent at this present time, yet there was a tie-up of the nervous forces in the upper portion of the digestive tract which caused an astringent condition in the functioning of these ducts, that produced a spasmodic condition in the hepatic circulation causing the mucus functioning of this portion of the body to work directly opposed to the emunctories and lymphatic functioning of this portion of the body. Reflexly or sympathetically this produced a spasmodic condition in the Littre [leydig] glands, also affects a condition in the ascending colon which caused this congestion, yet when assisted by laxative method of excited mucus, frirous [?] gangular [ganglia] to action produced a plethoric condition in the traverse [transverse] colon causing an unpleasant sensation throughout this portion of the body. With the laxing of the nervous tension the body is gradually gaining its equilibrium yet would be assisted a great deal better by now producing stimulation, tho not to an excess for will cause more congestion if treated too severely, either by medicinal properties or by causing a congestion in many of the plexuses through the trunk portion of the body and might, if taken on the wrong cycle of activity of Littre [leydig] glands, produce inflammation through the pelvic organs.

3. We would apply this through the system. Take into the system these properties, a tea made from garden sage 6 oz to a quart of water, reduce by simmering not boil, to one pint, and sweeten to palatable.

4. And add to this tea also hore-hound, green plant not dried, 4 oz. to the pint of water and allow to simmer for fifteen minutes, strain, and add 4 oz of burnt sugar to this, then the two are put together, to keep them while being taken add 6 oz of spirits of frumenti which has had the alcohol burned out of it in open dish. Dose would be tablespoonful every three hours.

5. This will prevent the reoccurrence of congestion through this portion of body. Do that. Then the body will be relieved. After fourth or fifth day it will be necessary, [4136], to take a mild laxative such as Bi-carbonate of soda, heaping teaspoonful full in glass of luke warm water to which there is added a very small pinch of sulphite of soda. This will only be necessary to be taken once, before body gains equilibrium, that is, soda and water. Do that.
