This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of August, 1934, in accordance with request made by the aunt, Miss [307], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. L. B. Cayce, Roy Buckalew, Sol Tepper, Mildred and Burt Davis.]

Time of Reading 3:35 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [415], Jr., this we have had before. Many changes in the physical forces of the body since last we have had same. The specific and the acute conditions in the present arise from the upset stomach, and from those acute conditions that have arisen from the affectations in the mouth.

  2. We will find that the giving of half an Aspirin tablet, with the massaging of the spine with rub alcohol (warm), will reduce the temperature, quiet the nerves, and make for the recuperative forces.

  3. Well that the eliminations be stimulated with the Castoria in small doses until the poisons and accumulations have been eliminated from the extra drosses that have come from the upset condition in the stomach and intestinal tract.

  4. Ready for questions.

  5. (Q) What should be done for swelling in face? (A) Allow the circulation and the changes wrought by reduction of the temperature to meet these conditions.

This may be massaged, of course, with Lard and Sulphur, provided the body is kept OUT of dampness. But if it is allowed to go out of doors with this in system for the next two days, it will be more harmful than helpful but will reduce the swelling.

  1. (Q) Any other advice for the body? (A) Do this for the present or immediate conditions.

  2. We are through with this reading.
