This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of April, 1927, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [4185].

1. GC: You will have before you the information given in the Life Reading on [4185], December 2, 1926, and you will answer the questions I will ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the information here as has been given regarding [4185]. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Please give a general reading and advice on my present business venture, also the prospective purchase of another business of the same kind, which would be in the nature of a branching out. (A) In the present business we find the entity finds many opportunities, especially were there the opportunity of extending the activities through the control of the output of other goods manufactured of the same nature and character the present entity endeavors to distribute. There have arisen some disturbing conditions, and the entity finds that there may be the necessity of taking on other lines of the same nature and character. This opens a greater field. Also this requires the expending of a greater amount of energy and of monies, yet - with the difference in the character of produce, and with the broader field - this offers greater possibilities for the entity, and this we would find would be the more satisfactory line. Then we would follow this up, see?

4. (Q) Is this the deal the horoscope [4185-1] refers to? (A) This one of the possibilities as referred to in the opportunity that would come to the entity. Then follow this up.

5. (Q) Explain how I should apply occult forces. (A) The very nature of the business, and the very study of the product the entity is distributing, tends to interest one - with the turn of mind this present experience of this entity has - towards conditions as relate to occult forces; that is, the application of unseen or unfelt laws to the physical or material life. Then the entity gains the better ability to promote such business and business relations through the study of such laws and such forces as are manifested through such materials, for the entity should gain that understanding that there is the pattern in the material for all things in the spiritual realm, and, as given, the closer application of self mentally toward things spiritually and towards occult forces and the application of same, will bring a better understanding of purposes in and of life. Hence add to the abilities of the entity to acquire and to attain to that ability of using those things in hand for the better service and the better good that may be gained, and the better the entity serves, the better knowledge, the better understanding of business in hand; for in application one gains understanding in all things, rather than as knowledge of a concrete condition. See?

6. (Q) How can I render the service to God which is mentioned in the reading? (A) By the application in the life and in the association with fellow man of those laws as are gained knowledge of concerning the life in the material plane and its relation to the spiritual life - for service to man is the highest service to God. Keep self clean and unspotted from the world. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

7. (Q) Should I affiliate with the House of God, or is my present manner of living fully acceptable to God? (A) In application of self to the ways, the laws, the manners of understanding, is the acceptable way, and in the affiliation there is not that condition wherein the good in the life is evil spoken of - for to have the good attempted, the good tried, is to have self questioned as to the intent and purpose of same. Though others in their lives and in their actions offer to the entity’s mental abilities and vision questionable positions, questionable stands, questionable purposes, let the entity rather signify by action and deed that, “Let others do as they may, but for me and my house, we will serve the living God.” Not a dead purpose. Not a God afar off, but that which is within thine own heart and in the lives of thy brethren, for in the act of the body man manifests by same that concept within of the living God, and to be identified, supporting, giving self’s own body in mind and in heart to that higher purpose is to come out on the Lord’s side and stand identified with the Lord’s people - for, as given, much ability lies within the entity to bring much knowledge to others of the purposes of life. Then actas if the body, mind and soul, believed in that purpose as is seen and understood by the entity, and as the entity puts same into practise - by applying that known - and makes same a part of self and of life, more and more is given to the entity, both in understanding and in ability to apply same, in THIS world’s goods and in spiritual knowledge and riches.

8. (Q) What plans should I make for the best development of my business? (A) In the plans and in the ways as has been outlined for the changes taking over, changing from the one to the other, following out those suggestions as have been given - for set within thine self, “Where He leads I will follow.”

9. (Q) What does 1927 hold in personal and business success and welfare? (A) Good, would the entity apply those things that have been and are being set before same.

10. (Q) Advise what course to pursue to fulfil the expectancy of the life in conformity with the horoscope [4185-1]. (A) Following in the ways as has been outlined here as concerning the relation to self, to God, and to fellow man.

11. (Q) In what manner should my will be used to fulfil the proper life? (A) In that manner as respecting first self’s relation to that Creative Energy, God, and in the application of self towards business and fellow man.

12. (Q) Will there be any means of specially knowing the opportunities which will be presented to me during the period between the 1st and 15th of May, and what will be their nature? (A) The entity should first learn that to apply self in business is as to apply self in every relation to an understanding of self and OF business, for of these concepts the outline has been given, and ever shall the spirit, the conscience, the soul of self, bear witness with His spirit, as to whether the entity is in the right or the wrong channel - for one may fool self for a while, yet that ever present inmost self bears that witness with self as to whether the right or wrong course is being pursued, when one keeps self in an at-oneness with the Father.

13. (Q) Shall I continue to handle Crosley radios and others I have, or shall I change for next season? (A) The change, as has been outlined.

14. (Q) How can I finance business best so as to overcome business worries and conserve my health, which I think is not as good as formerly? (A) By first making self aright, and in following those lines, those channels, as are presented to the entity from time to time. Not that the forces would not direct the entity to interest or engage in the association with individuals as individuals, or things as things, but within self there must come that knowledge of the application of the knowledge as concerning business, as concerning self, as concerning relation with the higher forces, and in the application KNOWLEDGE is gained - peace and understanding - and this the entity should apply in self. Do that.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

I recently had a talk with Mr. David Kahn, and he told me of the various work you are now undertaking. I am enclosing, herewith, my check for $50.00 as a donation to your Institution.

At this time may I ask that you kindly give me another reading along the lines of the questions below. I have found the opportunity which you stated in your reading of December 2, 1926, come to pass, and it was a real opportunity. Now, will you please let me know:

1. Shall I continue on this same merchandise, and when the matter of an additional contract for 1929 is placed before me next month, shall I place a large contract?

2. Have you any suggestions as to how to guard against failure in placing a large contract, or failure from another source?

3. What does 1929 hold in store for me?

4. Shall my wife and I adopt another child?

5. Shall I continue to live my life as heretofore, or what changes shall I make?

6. What can I do to make those dear to me more comfortable and happy?

7. Is my present manner of living fully acceptable to God?

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I have your letter of the 20th. I, too, am sorry that it has apparently been impossible to get together up to date, but I will definitely set aside the time you name, 4.30 to 6.00 p.m. Friday, March 15th.

One of these days, I will run down and get to know you. Mr. Kahn often speaks of you. The questions are as follows:

1. Have you any suggestions as to how to guard against failure in carrying out the large contract for Majestic Sets I have made with Grigsby-Grunow Co., or failure from any other source?

2. What is the outlook, this year, in the matter of Majestic Radio sets and the Radio business in general?

3. What does 1929 hold in store for me?

4. Shall I continue to live my life as heretofore, or what changes shall I make?

5. Shall my wife and I adopt another child?

6. What can I do to make those dear to me more comfortable and happy?

7. Is my present manner of living fully acceptable to God?

8. I am always anxious for peace and quiet in my home. How can I best achieve it?

9. Is there anything more I can do for my mother to add to her life, happiness and contentment.

10. I am interested in going into the Commercial Banking Business as an additional interest outside of the Radio Business. What does this hold in store for me?
