This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce in Hopkinsville, Ky., this 16th day of December, 1910.

Time of Reading 9:00 A. M. …, Tenn.

  1. EC: [4187], yes we have him here. We have in this whole system a strong, healthy body; strong in each organism. We have had condition existing in this body that is not there now, you see. We have had an oversupply of blood here; that is, an oversupply of the properties into the blood that carry the forces here to the head, which produce these conditions that we have here at the base of the brain (at the back part).

  2. This oversupply to the nerve force or the power here to the forces governing the air that is expelled from the lungs, or as the air is forced from the lungs. As a result of this condition that we have here in the nerve force, first, we have the impression of everything carried from the nerve forces to the sensory organism, but the conditions left here in the intestinal tract from former ailments, conditions, also, in the stomach has deranged the nerve force or nerve supply to the solar plexus nerve center. This governing power through the sympathetic system effects the expression or expelling or throwing out of the air from the lungs when he goes to speak. You see we have impressions, when we think, before we talk; that is, we have to think before we talk.

  3. The impression is first made to the brain; there is an oversupply of these forces carried there and is spit out and produces to the vocal chords, as it were, this stoppage or lack of nerve supply. The vocals work but do not talk; cannot think fast enough to say it; it just don’t talk. The impression is in the brain alright but the trouble exists from the deranged nerve force, both, to the supply of nerve stimulus to the lungs and to the head.

  4. The nerve force is, also, affected through the impression made on the brain, producing the larger condition of though or impressions to the upper part of the brain. We find we have not the power to give out an expression through the nerve forces, these impressions in the form of speech.

  5. We have here, first, in the beginning or early in life it was not that way; when this commenced the forces were overtaxed; the nerve supply was overstimulated; both the splenic and supply to the brain. The thought, you see, is the expression and the expression of thought is speech; that is, think before you speak. The impressions or giving out of these forces here, or thought centers, is effected through the splenic action on the nerve force and through this power into the brain. The overexpelling of these forces here brings about this condition in the stomach; it produced these conditions and has gradually come on until we have it as it now.

  6. We, also, have abnormal conditions of all the forces that govern thought and expression, also, abnormal condition in the solar plexus nerve center at the eighth and ninth dorsal, also, at the base of the brain and by pressing from or over the left ear you feel perceptible pains, that extend around the head; on the right side we find the forces reversed, but the principle trouble is where he talks - it is in this vocal box and, also, from the lung forces. Inhaling and breathing and exhaling and breathing is not proper; in other words, he does not breath properly.

  7. TREATMENT: To relieve these conditions we will have to supply to the entire body - sympathetic, solar plexus, cerebrospinal and especially, the sensory system. If we treat both ways we will reach the condition quicker; will reach the same results ultimately. First, through the subconscious mind and through electrical forces and by toning up this system, we will reach this trouble and reduce these conditions that is producing the abnormal forces and lessen the degree of supply of nutrition to this abnormal force to both the blood and nerves.

  8. We will have both reached quicker by working through the subconscious mind, (that is, when he is asleep), or through the power of suggestion, along with electrical forces, externally.

  9. Now these forces or the supply into his will is to return gradually. The nerve and blood supply will be brought into action; we will treat the vocal chords or the supply of force to the muscles, which have been exaggerated to the vocal chords and this will produce the same status that has been reducing the forces; in other words, by reducing one it will produce the other.

  10. It will be reached quicker by both methods; take one each day, keep the body in good condition, keep the system in good condition and we will reach the condition quicker; then we will have electrical force, externally, to maintain the nerve forces, not too much electricity; do not force the supply up, we want it down; that is, reverse these nerve forces or this condition that is supplying these abnormal forces to the brain. Move the coil this way - do not turn it over as it is commonly turned, turn it backward and it will drive the forces in the way it should go. Use, also, Static Electricity; this will reach the forces we have here; take both forces together - one each day. By following this treatment these conditions can be relieved and cured.
