This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of April, 1928, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [4193], via David E. Kahn.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce and Dr. Thomas B. House.]
Time of Reading 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia.
-
GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [4193], of …, Virginia, and you will answer the questions regarding his business associations with The … Company of …, Virginia.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [4193], and the associations with The … Company, and the effect such associations have upon interests of the body; for these associations are those conditions that most trouble the body-mind under the existent conditions of The … Company, and this is not wholly an error either; for such association naturally has its effect upon those associated with the individual, as well as outside influence upon those who may be interested in the varied conditions with which the body is associated. There needs not be the great worry as is seen, would the body only turn the product of the company into those channels through which the product might be disposed of; such as is seen in any of the chain manufacturers or distributors of such products as is produced by the company. Then when such association is made, then the body would do WELL to protect the interest of the self, as well as of those associated WITH self in The … Company; but with such protection there should be given the body that right, and that favor, of that as is financed by the body under the conditions; for, as is seen with such associations as may be made with those manufacturers of the same character of products as is manufactured by this company, and those in Somerville, Indiana - or Connersville, or Lebanan [Lebanon?], Indiana - or in Reading, Pa., or in Harodsburg [Harrisburg?], Pa., or in Blockton [Brockton?], Mass., or in Sharon, Pa., or in Newark, N.J., or in New York or in Brooklyn - these are as chains, or associations of various manufacturers under the head of distributors of the products. These would give an outlet for the company in such a way as to insure the success of the company. The policies have not at all times been correct, as has been seen by the body [4193] yet the changes as have been brought about by the real existent conditions in the company since there has been the lack of dividends, accumulations, have APPARENTLY been unsatisfactory to some, but the company is in a better position to meet the needs as they arise in the future. Hence, following out and along those lines as we have given, we will find better conditions coming through these conditions, and that this would be turned into a paying proposition through these channels.

We are through.

R1. 5/4/28 EC’s letter to Mr. [4193]:
Mr. [4193] …, Virginia
My dear Mr. [4193]
I didn’t write you at the time your reading was sent. I really wasn’t physically able to do the work when I did it. Haven’t been well myself for two or three weeks, but was so anxious that I undertook it anyway. I am in hopes, however, that you were able to get something from the information given that was worth while. Possibly it will give you an idea or open up a new field of thought that will prove helpful. I am hoping this anyway.
I’m mighty glad to say that I am feeling myself again and am in hopes that we will be able to keep in shape to go along with the work now. Should anything arise that you would desire to ask other questions, please don’t hesitate to call on us. We will be glad to do whatever we can. We appreciate your interest and certainly hope we may be able to be of assistance and help in some way.
I trust Miss [1916] is feeling quite alright, and that the rest of the family is fine also.
Hoping you will let us hear from you whenever possible, and with kindest personal regards, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

B3. 4/6/28 [4193]‘s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach, Va.
My Dear Mr. Cayce:
I am in trouble with my Furniture Co. in a Financial way. I want to ask if you will give a reading and try to find out what is the best thing to do under the circumstances. I know you do not do much of this kind of reading and that you would prefer to do the Physical side of the work, and thusly do more good for mankind. Business has been very dull and we have gotten behind with the payment of our bills, and I fear some of our Creditors are going to try to give us trouble. If you will consent to give me the reading, please send me a blank application and the amount of the fee for this class of reading and will get up a fuller explanation and certain questions. I would like for you to suggest the general line of questions and advise me as fully as you can along the line I am trying to get. If it is not perfectly agreeable to do this, do not hesitate to say so and I shall be perfectly satisfied.
I was in New York last week and heard something of your work from Kahn. I hope you will be able to get into the Hospital this fall and that you will have great success. Give my kindest regards to Mrs. Cayce and your Father and the two boys.
With best wishes and success for you
I am very truly yours
