EC: Yes, we have the body here, [420].

As we find, unless there are those applications that may bring about a change, this may grow to be rather a serious condition.

We find that the acute conditions arise from a GENERAL debilitation which has existed for some time in the body, as related to the engorging and the condition of the liver as related to the whole of the circulation, and especially the circulation between the heart and the lungs.

A great deal of this we find arises as poisons in the system from toxic forces.

Of course, a contributory cause is those conditions in the mouth or the gums - and the GENERAL condition which has existed for some time through the lack of the proper assimilation and eliminations; and these reactions cause the dizziness and the condition wherein there is the quickness of pulse.

Unless there are changes, then temperatures and other complications would arise.

In the beginning then, or in the present, we would begin with applications alternately given until there is the desired reaction from the alimentary canal and through the activity of the liver itself. Then; we would begin with these:

Give immediately the hot Castor Oil Packs for about an hour, as hot as the body can stand same, over the liver AND the upper portion of the right side of the abdomen, extending down over the caecum and that portion of the colon on the right side.

Then rest, or leave same off for about an hour, and then give the Saturated Solution of Epsom Salts in Packs. These would be more over the abdomen and the lower portion of same to the left side, and across the frontal area even down to the lower portion of same. Give these for about an hour.

Leave off then for an hour, and begin again with the Castor Oil Packs.

After these each have been given for about two or three times, begin then - or begin IMMEDIATELY - with the small doses of the Castoria AND the Syrup of Figs; these combined; or one given one period, one the next; about three-quarters of a teaspoonful given about every hour apart.

When these have reacted - all of these applications - then let the body rest for a day or the like, and then have a thorough examination by a physician relative not only to the condition of the liver but the heart’s activity and the teeth and gums, see?

(Q) What causes and what should be done for sores on left instep? (A) These are from irritation, poor circulation. Applications would be of burnt alum or Cuticura Ointment.

(Q) What is best diet for the body in the present? (A) Under the present it would be a liquid diet, or semi-liquid; and especially of things that are body-building.

(Q) What caused the body to almost “pass out” yesterday afternoon? (A) As has been indicated.

(Q) Any other information that would be of help? (A) Do these things as has been indicated for purifying the system, and then have the examinations and follow with same; for these are required, of course, under the present associations and conditions.
We are through with this Reading. [After GC had given the suggestion, partly, to wake up, EC then gave Physical Rdgs. for Mr. [843] and Mrs. [1596].]
EC: We would give, for the moment, a review of that which has been indicated for each of the individuals presented; as a more definite why of the applications and how.
In the case of [420]: This is not a growth, but rather a plethoric condition in the liver; and affects the circulatory forces between the heart, the liver, the lungs.
Use the applications of the Oil alternated with the Epsom Salts Packs. For the Oil Packs have three to five thicknesses of flannel sufficiently large to cover the area from the caecum to the lower portion of the rib area, extending of course over the abdomen to at least the umbilicus or navel center. Use these for an hour at the time.
The Epsom Salts Packs are also to ease, and are to be given more over the colon and the left portion, so that the activity of same will produce - with the eliminations - a cleansing of the walls of the colon as well as draining the duodenum.
When the examinations are made by the physician to whom under the rulings it becomes necessary, let these be for the liver, the heart, AND the teeth or gums, see?
