This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 4th day of December, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4209], via Mr. William Iams.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions that may be corrected. These conditions have to do with various disturbances as have been created in the functioning of organs, caused by a condition existent in the blood supply, produced by poor eliminations, and assisted, or aiding in causing disturbance by a catarrhal condition as existed in portions of system, produced again by congestion in organs and drosses not removed from system.

4. These, then, have produced these conditions as we find them in this body, Mrs. [4209] we are speaking of. First:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this shows un-uniformity in its circulation - that is, in pressure, in respiration, and in its ability to find full coordination through the eliminating and assimilating system. Hence the dullness, the tendency toward the condition as exists in extremities - swelling, perspiration, and such conditions.

6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find this produces pains along the centers, especially of the locomotories, these coming in the sciatic region - that is, along the lower portion of the lower limbs, upper fore portion of of the upper extremities. These conditions are reflexes, rather than specific conditions. Hence medicinal properties taken in the system for these conditions only offer temporary relief, if relief at all. Only sedatives, then, giving relief.

7. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, the seat or the beginning of the trouble beginning with that change in the functioning of the organs through the pelvis region, and the cold, congestion, as was taken caused the distress in the lungs, in the stomach, and in the intestines, from cold, congestion, to the mucus producing portions of all of this portion of system. A little irritation, a little fever occurred. Hence congestion as was seen throughout the system. The general health apparently good, yet the general debilitation showing how the inroads of this congestion internally, producing a catarrhal condition in the functioning of the organs, caused this distress in the body.

8. To meet the needs of this condition at the present time, we would use these two means to remove this condition.

9. First we would take in the system these properties: Prepare this as the carrier: To one-half (1/2) gallon of distilled water, add six (6) ounces of Wild Cherry Bark. Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to one-half (1/2) the quantity. Strain. Then add six (6) ounces of sugar, first dissolved in four (4) ounces of hot water. Reduce again to the original quantity, see? that is, taking out the four (4) ounces of water added, by the simmering or slow boiling. Then we would add:

Syrup of Sarsaparilla…1 ounce, Fluid Extract Yellow Dock Root…1/2 ounce, Tincture of Stillingia…1/2 ounce, Elixir Calisaya…1/2 ounce.

Cut two (2) drams Balsam of Tolu in two (2) ounces of pure grain alcohol. Add this to solution. The dose would be (shaking the solution before each dose is taken) one-half (1/2) teaspoonful three (3) times each day.

10. At the same time, and until the body is entirely relieved, use the Radium Applicator across the lower portion of the lungs, or just above the solar plexus region - wearing this most of the time, except of evenings, see, when it may be laid aside - recharging same at least once each day in as strong light or sunlight as may be had, charging for at least twenty (20) to thirty (30) minutes each day.

11. Do this, and we will bring the better conditions and remove this condition from the body.

12. The medicinal properties acting as the eliminating centers need stimulation. The assimilating centers need that action as will give rebuilding forces. The Radium Appliance acting as the equalizer between the nerve system and equalizing the blood supply and cleansing same through the stimulated organs of elimination.

13. We are through for the present.

My dear Mrs. [4209]:-

I enclose you, herewith, the reading as was gotten at the appointed time. I certainly am in hopes that this will prove helpful and beneficial to you. I am sure that you will understand that the only way to get the results is to carry out the suggestions as are made for the improvement of your trouble. I am sure you will be able to have the prescription prepared there. If not, I would suggest that you send the reading to

Burrow, Martin Drug Co., 265 Granby Street, Norfolk, Virginia,

marking the portion that you wish them to prepare, and I am sure you can get this prepared there.

As for the Radium Applicator, you will get this from The Radium Appliance Company, Bradbury Building, Los Angeles, California.

After you have used these for some little time, I am sure it would be well for us to go over your condition again, and I think at that time you should prepare a list of questions to be asked regarding your condition.

I wish you would please phone Mr. Iams when you receive the reading, as we have not received the check that you gave him.
