This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of June, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [421], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

In the office on the Time of Reading … …, 11:00 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Tenn.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [421]; this we have had before.

  3. As we find, while many conditions are very good, there are those weaknesses and tendencies of which the body has been warned.

  4. There have been such exertions and activities as to so reduce the vitality as to cause inflammation of a strep nature to become active through the body.

  5. Thus those tendencies for the body to be so easily tired out, lack of proper elimination, not sufficient of the vital energies being supplied the system in the form of the necessary forces to fully, at all times, replenish. Thus the warring in the system, the tendency for loss of appetite, loss of weight, and more than usual nervousness; not resting well as the body should.

  6. Then, there should be the giving way of much of the general activities, as much as practical. No extra work. No energies used much of evenings or nights, but rather rest. Take rest in the open air as much as possible.

  7. DO prepare the keg [of Apple Brandy] and use the inhalations from same at least morning and evening; two or three good inhalations.

  8. Do take, at least once each day, - preferably in the middle of the day, - half a yeast cake dissolved in a glass of tomato juice.

  9. Do take as much of the diet as possible that has been indicated, - in the milk, malted milk, the egg and the like.

  10. These should add resistance, - with an occasional thorough relaxing, not a stimulating treatment. Possibly it would be better for this to be given with the electrically driven vibrator of evenings, when the body is ready to rest. This would be given particularly along the whole length of the spine, across the shoulders and across the diaphragm area; all of the treatment on the back, though it would be well that the head and the neck be treated with the sponge applicator; while the treatment along the spine, across the shoulders at the brachial center and the 9th dorsal, or on the body-force, would be given with the cup applicator.

  11. These should bring better conditions for this body.

  12. Do have salt water fish once a week, at least, in the diet.

  13. Ready for questions.

  14. (Q) Does it hurt me to ride a bicycle? (A) It is NOT well that too much of this character of exercise be taken, unless there is an improvement in the ability of the body’s breathing and in its exercise. Short rides are well, but not too much of same.

  15. (Q) How can I put on weight? (A) Use these things as indicated - these should build up the body.

  16. We are through with this Reading.
