This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of March, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [4220].

Time of Reading 3:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Florida.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find that in many respects the body is very good physically. There are, however, those conditions that cause disturbances in the physical body, that the body should be warned of, for with the continuation of these disturbances, the organs will become affected and produce conditions that will give the greater disturbance in various portions of the body.

3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body [4220] we are speaking of.

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find below the normal in replenishing, reduced in its abilities to rebuild properly throughout at all times, by that condition produced by congestion, that produces a bacilli that attacks portions of the blood cellular forces that go to make up the plasm cellular force in various portions of the body. Hence, the disturbance as is produced, occasionally, in the body, varies in the effects as are produced; that as we see in the nasal and head at time - cavities in same, see; the disturbance as is produced in the digestive system, and the tendency for the action of the digestion to give trouble; the assimilation becoming poor; the excretions as are seen through the capillary circulation producing abrasions and rash that gives trouble; disturbances we see in circulation by various portions of system and tissue being affected, and the eliminations being hindered or changed in their functioning, by this disturbance as is seen in the blood stream. This condition may be called, or classed, as that of the nature that produces this form of condition, or a catarrhal condition, changing in its manner in various portions of system, and in the manner or way it affects; in places becoming congestion; others as a scaly condition, or of the tissue becoming inflamed or involved in the various portions of the system, or as is produced in the intestinal tract, a kind or form of constipation that causes distress to the emunctories of the body.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this we find the center, or the cause in the first place, of the existent conditions and disturbances. Especially is this seen in the 2nd and 4th lumbar and in the 5th and 4th dorsal. These plexuses being disturbed, the various ganglias receiving improper nutriment or improper incentive, the nutriment as is guided or directed being deficient, this brings the troubles in the system. The subligation, then, of certain vertebras in this region causing the troubles. Then, the creation of that dross in system, by the lack of elimination, the conditions become exaggerated. The system, then, creating the overflow of the leucocyte, rids the system, as it were, for a time; yet these disturbances, as are produced through the various portions of the system, are felt, and are gradually being built up, and should be eliminated, for the best conditions of the body.

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, we find as this:

7. Brain forces very good.

8. Sensory organism disturbed at times by these conditions.

9. Throat shows the effect of the same at times; not all of the time - some congestion at present.

10. Lungs very good, though these show the effects of the condition. No organic disturbance.

11. Heart’s action below normal, produced by this same condition.

12. Digestive system, and the rest of the organs, show the effects, occasionally - not all times; kidneys at the present time show the greatest condition, see?

13. Then, to bring about the normal condition for this body, we would, through the osteopathic manipulation, correct these conditions as are found in the cerebro-spinal system, in the lumbar and dorsal and cervical regions, aligning the whole cerebro-spinal nerve system, and releasing those impingements as are found in the 4th and 5th dorsal, 3rd and 4th lumbar; and applying, to bring the normal equilibrium, or to establish the metabolism throughout the system, those vibrations as would be found in the Radio-Active Appliance, using this at least an hour to two hours each evening, applying the negative pole to the wrist.

15. At least thirteen such osteopathic adjustments and treatments should be taken.

R1. 4/10/26 Linden Shroyer’s letter: “When [4220] received your reading, which was as usual very accurate, he sent to his father [4219] for the machinery which he received day before yesterday and as soon as he can get to the osteopath that Dr. Lydic recommended down here he is going to start.”

R2. 4/27/26 Linden Shroyer’s letter: “He is following out his reading very religiously and is having the results as always expected when they are carried out as they should be. He is taking the osteopathic treatments from a good friend of Dr. Lydic’s and not only is he treating him as per the reading but is also giving him treatments for his flat feet and he claims he will entirely rectify the condition.”

R3. 3/16/27 Linden Shryer’s letter: “Had a letter from [4220] the other day. The poor boy must have had quite a time of it. He says he had a tooth pulled and they had to cut away some of his jaw bone. He lost a lot of weight and he was none too heavy anyway. They were thinking they might have to send him down here to recuperate if he didn’t show some improvement very shortly. He says though that he is somewhat better.”

My Dear Mr. cayce,

I have heard a good deal about the wonderful work you have been doing, both from my parents [[4219] & [4218]] and friends in Dayton and more particularly from my very good friend Mr. Shroyer, with whom I have been in very close contact.

I have always been very interested in your work, although I have never had the opportunity of meeting you.

Also I know that you can help me; if you will be so kind as to do so. This would indeed be a favor, as I have been troubled with this complaint [very bad condition in nose - throat] for the past few years, and it has steadily been growing worse.
