This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 10th day of July, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4235].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are some abnormal physical conditions with this body, yet in many respects the body very good in the physical organism. There are those specific conditions that have to do with the body, that with the correction of same, these might be assisted and eliminated from the physical forces of the body.

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find somewhat below the normal in quantity, yet high in pressure. Hence the condition as exists in the heart’s action at times, produced more, however, by those properties that have been taken for the condition in the lung and the breathing that comes to the body at times than from organic conditions.

4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this we find very good in many respects, yet there are those conditions in the cerebro-spinal nerve system that deflects the incentives as are supposed to be exercised by the functioning of plexuses in the system. This, especially, do we find in the 9th, 10th dorsal and in the 4th and 5th dorsal, radiating then perceptibly from these lesions in different forms as are produced there, to the functioning of the secondary cardiac plexus, this affecting directly the bronchial and the condition in the thorax as is seen at times. This also has produced the trouble as is experienced by absorption of toxins from the condition produced in the bronchial, especially in the tonsil portion proper. These, then, need attention direct and of the local nature, that this poison may be eliminated from system. As also in the lower actions of the plexus in the 9th and 10th dorsal affect directly the digestive system, so far as the emunctory and eliminations are concerned. Hence the indigestion as is experienced when an overtaxing of the system in that of hydrochlorics are produced by the overtaxing and the effects of these is to produce too much secretions in the pancreas, which forms the condition as is seen, giving trouble at times in the right portion of body, dull achey, leadened, feeling, produced in the lacteal ducts and in the liver in its functioning through the emunctories of same. Over-stimulation then gives the excess of the secretions from kidneys, the bearing down pains as come to the body with the functioning of the pelvic organs, the excess as is seen of the functioning of the genetory portion of system, produces then the irritation, giving this distress to the bladder.

5. Then, to bring the normal forces to the body, other than having the local conditions in tonsils attended to, we would, through deep manipulations, correct those conditions in the lower dorsal and in the upper dorsal, giving those stimulations at times that this is being given. Treatments should be given then, osteopathically, deep, for at least twelve to sixteen treatments, taking these twice each week. Medicinal properties would be as of these. Those that would be found in Vinol, (proprietary preparation). Added to this would be as this:

Tincture of Valerian…2 ounces, Elixia Calisaya…2 ounces, Iodide of Potash…20 grains, Bromide of Potash…15 grains, Peptotol sufficient to make…8 ounces.

6. This would be taken once every three days. Vinol taken as prescription gives, only half quantity - half a teaspoonful, see? - three times each day. THIS taken one teaspoonful every third day, not oftener.

7. We will find, by the time the second quantity of Vinol and full treatments from the osteopath, with the corrections of the condition in tonsils, the body will be physically fit.

8. (Q) Should the tonsils be removed? (A) These may be removed, or they may be treated locally, and with the osteopathic condition properly given, drained. Then by correction of the rest of the conditions in the rest of the system, with the medicinal properties - not too much meat taken, as little fish or fowl may be taken regularly. Preferably those of vegetable forces as grow above ground.

I am at a loss what to do. I could never get the prescription filled you sent me in my reading. I am now trying again if I can get it filled would it be alright for me to take it now. Or could you give me another reading. Tell me something for it seems if I don’t get some relief soon I can’t live. Hope to hear from you by return mail.

My dear Mrs. [4235]:-

Replying to yours of the 22nd, I am certainly sorry to know that you had trouble in getting your prescription filled. I suppose I should have given you the name of the drug store to send your reading to, but I prefer to have people get their own druggists to fill the prescriptions whenever it is possible, for fear that people get the idea that I have some connection with some special druggist. However, I assure you this is certainly not the case.

After reading over your reading that was given you in July, 1925, I am wondering if you ever had the corrections made, osteopathically, that you were to have done. This could be done first of all. Then if you will send your reading to the Sellers Drug Company, 20th Street & 4th Avenue, Birmingham, Alabama, I am sure that they will prepare this for you, or, if you prefer, we shall be glad to make another reading and see if there are any changes in the suggestions. This I would suggest that you would do, provided you have had the corrections made osteopathically and haven’t gotten results, for I am sure you are going to find it necessary to carry out all the suggestions given in order to get results.
