R1. 1/22/21 Father [779]‘s letter: “This is to certify that my 10 yr. old son…[427] had on April 11, 1920, been under doctors treatment for over six months, for anemia. On that date we had a reading from Mr. Cayce which described his illness exactly, and the boy immediately began to improve, and gain in weight. He is now perfectly well and normal in every way, and we owe Mr. Cayce a debt of gratitude that can never be paid…”

R2. 2/8/25 Letter from [779] to EC: “[427], the first in my family who got a reading from you has been out of school two weeks. He had a kidney trouble (stones in the kidneys), so the Dr. says. He certainly did suffer for a couple of days with pains. I wanted to wire you for a prompt reading but knowing you were just back from N.Y. and must be very busy and too might had other readings ahead, and I knew he [427] had to have relief right away, but I want to get you to soon look him over and see just where he is standing. You see, this is the first time he has been sick since your reading about 5 or 6 years ago. Don’t you see how good that is? Yes, you give the real cause and remove the cause - that’s what counts. Nothing like it, Big Boy. [427] will go back in school tomorrow.”

R4. 9/22/59 Letter:

Dear Mr. [779]:-

“At last we are preparing the readings for microfilm for preservation. In your son [427]‘s file we find an affidavit re. his first reading April 11, 1920, which recommended treatment for anemia. However, there is no copy of this reading in his folder. Would you by any chance have a copy of this reading which you could lend us? We could duplicate it and return the original to you. If not, can you remember the treatment? Any additional information would indeed be helpful before the case is filmed.
