GC: You will have before you the officers and directors of the First National Bank, Meridian, Texas, who are as follows: W. A. York, President; V. M. Sutphen, Cashier; J. T. McConnell, active Vice-President. W. A. York, J. D. Hanna, H. L. Latimer, H. Wooley, A. S. Lomax, S. C. Barnes, J. E. Turner, J. T. McConnell - Directors. You will tell us if these officers and directors, or any of them, will be able to negotiate the affairs of this institution in such a manner as to make a financial success of this institution, and you will tell us how this may be done.
-
EC: Yes, we have the affairs, with the mental, physical, abilities as regarding the financing and the active work regarding the affairs of First National Bank, Meridian, Texas.
-
In considering these conditions, there are many various phases of conditions to be considered, and on the turn of the action of one to three individuals would depend the outcome of the conditions of this institution.
-
While the officers and directors have been well chosen, and for a different work or condition, as it were, under the existent circumstances, it is necessary then that all cooperate in this endeavor.
-
The weakened condition, physically and mentally, of Latimer will interfere in the Spring of coming year.
-
The change in the conditions in the financial status of Turner, in the Spring, will assist in the conditions as regarding same.
-
The action of Wooley in some special work, as regarding a piece of property in the Hico [Waco?] vicinity will be beneficial, provided same is carried out promptly and on time.
-
The choosing of Sutphen for a special work with individuals in the locality that is near to the office and to the central and Southern portion of State WELL DONE. Necessary, however, that this action be kept in a very correct manner as regarding an elderly man as associated with same.
-
The action of Hanna in the relations to property in the neighborhood of the central and Eastern portion of the State will be beneficial.
-
The judgement and the action of York in his operation good.
-
The supervision and action of McConnell in the whole generalship of all, with specific turns as can be, will be made. Do not become disgruntled, however, because there are some hard conditions to be met on the first week in February, for we find these conditions would clear themselves, and in another year an increase in the excess and nearer the dividend paying basis. This should succeed. We are through for the present.

Dr. Edgar Cayce 115 W 35th Street Virginia Beach, Va
Dear Dr.:-
Your letter & Reading was received several days ago. I appreciate it but some things I do not understand and time alone can tell. I do not understand all it says regarding Sutphen connection with an elderly gentleman. Nor the Bank and what he might be able to do. I do not know what Latimer’s physical & mental condition will be in spring. I do not know what turn Turner can make that will be of much help. I do not know of any turn that Wooley can make that would help only to pay the Bank what he owes it.
However time will tell and all I can do is to wait & SEE.
I appreciate the reading & hope it will be beneficial and hope to have you give a further reading 1st week in January ‘26.
I saw your reading on the Kopperl Well [[4905] series] today. Claude Martin showed it to me. He said they have a fishing job at posit. Said they had a good formation when they had the accident.
I’ll write you again soon when I have more time & can see further.
If you can arrange a date, would be glad to have another reading on this Bank 1st week in January. You have a list of officers & directors there.
Hope things are well with you. They are rocky with me.
Much love & appreciation of your friendship.
I remain your friend, [4278]
