This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce in Birmingham, Alabama, this 5th day of January, 1923.

[Edgar Cayce; Frank E. Mohr (?), Conductor; Fay Autry (?), Steno.]

Time of Reading 7:15 P. M. …, W. Va.

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find this body is very good throughout; there are some abnormal conditions in the body. The effect is to the capillaries, and to the points of some of the functioning organs. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [4315] we are speaking of.

  2. The blood supply in the system is very good. There is some bacilli carried in the blood. They have to do with those that produce pus-forming; those of a variety of streptococci.

  3. Now, there are conditions, that to this body have become normal. Of those, we are not speaking, you see.

  4. The white blood cells, at the present time, are above normal. The nerve forces within the system, we find, are very good. There is some improper co-ordination between the sympathetic and the sensory organism of the body. The effect is produced in the functioning of the organs of the sensory system. This is produced from the general condition as shown in the blood circulation. The effect has produced on, or in, centers governing the connection between the cerebro-spinal and the sympathetic and the sensory nervous system.

  5. The body is not always sick, but there are some conditions that become aggravated at times, in the system, from time to time.

  6. The functioning of the organs themselves: We find this: Those of the sensory system are effected as we have given here; those of the throat, nose, thyroid, show the effect of the congestion as is shown in the system at the present time. The lung force is very good, there being some show of the condition that exists through the capillary circulation, those, however, being taken care of in the respiratory system, better than ordinarily, with conditions as they are.

  7. Through the digestive tract we find those fully given: The reaction of the pneumogastrics over the system creates some unpleasantness, at times. When the body takes foods in the stomach, they apparently give off too much without the proper assimilation. Through the liver, we find the show of the condition exists, in that the organ attempts to create sufficient elements in the blood to take care of the condition in the system.

  8. The circulation is very good for the condition, though it increases the pressure, at times, that is the blood supply.

  9. The kidneys sometimes are overtaxed. Of these conditions beware. They are only at the beginning. Create those forces in the body to overcome the conditions.

  10. To give the balance to this body necessary to make the better equilibrium throughout, we would give those properties necessary to give the correct incentives, then exercise of a specific nature, to overcome the dilatory action of the eliminating organs, thus absorb and throw out from the system those impurities as shown in the body, especially in the capillaries and cuticle.

  11. To one gallon of water, rain water preferred, we would add this:

Wild Cherry Bark…6 ounces, Yellow Dock Root…2 ounces, Calisaya Bark…1 ounce, Sassafras Root…1 ounce.

  1. This would be reduced by simmering, NOT BOILING, to one quart. Strain. While warm, add: 6 ounces grain alcohol, with 2 drams Balsam of Tolu.

  2. The dose would be a teaspoonful night and morning; night, before retiring; morning, before breakfast.

  3. The exercise would be: For the trunk portion of the body, a bending, circular motion of the body, with the hands on the hip. Do this for three to five minutes, not overstraining. For the upper part of the body, exercise the neck and shoulders by light setting-up exercises, for three to five minutes. No violent exercises. These exercises to be taken each evening.

  4. With the stimulations as we have given, this body should become normal. Do that. We are through.
