This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of February, 1931, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4317] through Dr. Fredoon C. Birdi.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body - [4317]. Now, we would find, while the conditions and the physical forces - both mentally and physically - do not coordinate, there is the lack of the cooperation on the part of the body with that being attempted to be administered to the body; this condition being brought about by the dissatisfactions on part of the body itself with those who insist upon the conditions being carried out in this surrounding.
-
We would find, were the body to make a supreme effort in having a closer and a better understanding with physician in charge, and have a cooperative manner with same - with the addition of the baths as hot as the body may stand just before the evening, and with a thorough rubdown after same, followed by a vibratory treatment along the cerebro-spinal system - the body continuing to hold to that ideal, seeing self being benefited by those administrations given with and through this cooperative measure - these would bring the bettered conditions for this body.
-
Should these, then, find a failure, it will be on the part of the body itself in the incooperative forces that are held under such strain.
-
THIS we would do, and we will find - will this be held in the mental forces of the body, doing that which will create for the relaxation of this tautness throughout the head, the neck, the shoulders, and alleviating - as it were - through the respiratory system many of the poisons that have been necessary in the system to keep a functioning - it will be well for this to be done at least two, three or four times each week - we will find the body will respond. Do that. Ready for questions.
-
We would not alter the ministrations medicinally, or the care - but we WOULD have better cooperation on part of patient WITH those administrations, and these added.
-
We are through for the present.

B2. 2/9/31 (Monday P.M.) [4317]‘s ltr. to EC:
My dear Mr. Cayce,
Pardon pencil and brevity of this letter as I am in bed at Buxton Hospital Room 205, where I will be when you give my reading on Thursday.
Am interested mainly in my health - will I ever get entirely over this nervous condition of the past three years and how to go about it. Doctors can find nothing organically wrong but have recently removed my tonsils. Will I get to know some peace and comfort in body and mind. My body is one mass of torment, my head is extremely tense and painful in back, my body seems to go at a great speed rate, so when I am resting I am always exhaustedly sick. No amounts of reasoning on my part can overcome the extreme fear and anxiety that is part of me, my heart palpitates continually with it. It is impossible for me to sleep and sometimes doze off only one hour of the twenty-four. The sensations that come over my body are agonizing and I have died a thousand deaths - and become a coward.
If you can help me, please do so. At least I hope there will be the assurance that I will get well. Let me hear as soon as possible.
At present am scarcely able to walk, and cannot come to your house to be present at the reading.
Thanking you for what you will do, I am,
Sincerely yours, [4317]
