This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of May, 1927, in accordance with request made by her mother, Mrs. […], via Mrs. Carrie Salter House.

Time of Reading Western State Hospital, 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatments for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find there are physical conditions in the body that bring distress to the physical forces and to the body as it responds in the reaction through the mental.

4. In this condition there may be seen that differentiation between the spiritual and the physical body, for from appearances the body physically fit, yet the mental is in the condition as not to be able to produce coordination in an amiable or in a coordinating manner. Hence we find there is then the mental body, as is seen, awry, and this brings the inability in the physical to bring the mental in the state of coordination in the system. Hence we find the defects also in the physical body that prevents the attributes of the mental body coordinating with the mental body. This condition, we find, occurs where the application of the plasmatic cell go to make reproduction in self, and the cell being broken by over taxation in the mental, with the physical in the state of taxation, the weakened condition then forms that pressure wherein incoordination occurs in the body.

5. There will be seen, by the study of the history of this condition, that the depressions, or the cell force broken, came when there was being discharged from the system that of the genitive system that is of the reproductive nature, and that in this taxation, then, we find these glands of reproduction that of the first cause.

6. Do not allow this to go so far as to produce the softening of the reaction in the center in brain from which coordinating radiation is made.

7. These glands are about the genitory system, and especially are these in that activity when the ovarian (?) form and cast off their effulgence in its discharge from the system. The pressure, then, on account of the fall the body had in the sixth (6th) year that injured the spinal center near the lower lumbar and the sacral, produces a pressure in the overtaxed condition that produces reflexes in the pineal gland. Then we have these occurrences of the hallucinations, or the inability for the body to function normal.

8. This of necessity will needs be that the body be REMOVED from its present surroundings and conditions, were those things possible to be done that will bring the normal conditions for this body; for we would give that THESE would accomplish this change necessary:

9. Keep the body where it will not harm self or others, yet do not have the body remain alone too often or long.

10. And osteopathically reduce the lesion in the lumbar and sacral region. It would require at least forty (40) such general adjustments for the effective reaction from such adjustments may only be meted or seen active in those periods of menstruation; when these properties are used as the property to react with the forces in the system:

Each day while such periods last, there should be prepared as this, in an earthen or crock container, at least sufficient in size that the body may sit over same with ease: Place one (1) gallon of boiling water in crock, and add twenty (20) drops of Tincture of Myrrh, with forty (40) drops Fluid Extract of Tolu, with one (1) Aloe; and expose the parts to the steam arising from same, and prepare the vagina in such a manner that these fumes may enter the vagina proper, see?

12. In the periods between there will be the constant correction; and keep the mind directed towards spiritual application of the better things, and within the three to four (3 to 4) moons, there will be found the RETURNING of the full equilibrium in this body, [4333].

We enclose you, herewith, a copy of the reading as was gotten for your daughter. From the suggestions as are given, I fear that under the present conditions and surroundings there may be little or nothing done for the correction of the condition, and just how you will go about it outside of the institution I would hardly know how to even offer a suggestions. I believe, however, that within the next sixty days we will have the institution in operation that will be connected with our Association and my work. We will let you know about this just as soon as this is in operation, and if you care to take the matter up with the officers of the institution at that time, we shall be very glad to have you do so.

During my thirty odd years experience with the work, we have had several cases similar to this, or similar to that described in the reading, and where people were able to have these carried out, they certainly have brought wonderful results.

I certainly am in hopes that this information will prove both interesting and worth while.

We shall appreciate it if you will let us hear from you from time to time, for I assure you its out desire to be of help if possible.

Replying to yours of the 1st, we shall be very glad to make an appointment for a reading for your daughter, but just at the present time we are so far ahead with our appointments that we do not feel we are justified in keeping people waiting so long when they possibly need attention right now. However, just as soon as we have caught up a bit, we shall be glad to communicate with you again, and at that time make an appointment for you, if you still desire it, and we certainly hope that we may be of service.

Bowling Green has a peculiar attraction for my wife and I, as that is where we went when we were first married. I lived in Bowling Green for a little more than eight years, and have some very close personal friends there - Dr. Stone, Dr. John H. Blackburn and Jim the dentist, Dr. Joe Ford the dentist, Dr. Posey the osteopath, and a great number of people who are very well acquainted with the work I am doing. I shall be very glad for you to talk with any of these concerning same.

We will let you hear from us just as soon as we have an opening.

Yours to hand. I am enclosing money order for $10 I feel that it is as much as we can spare. We are in debt. So many hospital bills in the last 3 years. If can get well you will get more she is a college graduate and was making a good salary when she got sick. You don’t know how anxious we are to hear from you as we have suffered so much over her condition.
