This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of January, 1929, in accordance with request made by her mother, Mrs. […] and also Mr. [39].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This is DR. HOWARD speaking, Cayce.

2. Now, we have unusual conditions surrounding the physical forces as are manifest with this body, and to the medical fraternity the condition presents that as is ordinarily termed one which is not understood - neither can there be much done to relieve the condition, else there is then little understanding. The condition as presented shows there is a cell, or a condition wherein the accumulations will continue to increase until the system forms that of such proportions as to take up the vitality, or the very life of a physical body itself in producing tissue in misdirected channel channel and way where the protuberance shows on the brain, or on the exterior portion of same - OR the serums, were these hindered in their accumulations, would so AFFECT the brain as to produce imbecility in the body were it to live. THIS the present medical outlook.

3. Now we find in the existent forces - when viewed from this plane, or this broader vision - these conditions:

That there are radial centers from which this accumulation forms by the activity of nerve impulse as carries both the mucous producing or serums, or the activity of the lymph circulation, as well as its blood supply also, that of the nerve energy - and were these conditions corded or changed in their activity, then the changes (properly directed in other channels) would gradually decrease the accumulating serum or accumulating mucous or accumulating forces as may be termed of a physical body - and being distributed, then, in various portions of the system, would bring about a different condition. Not necessarily affecting either the brain or even the nerve reflexes from the sympathetic or cerebro-spinal system. TRUE, an accumulation of such a nature - allowed to establish itself - the condition either becomes then of such a malignant (in this sense meaning the ability to create, or to live a parasite, or upon the life-giving fluid - hence draining not only from this body those forces as carry forward in the nerve and nerve reflexes and nerve impulses from the radial center from which this is directed, BUT from TAKING so much of these from the system depletes the activity of the brain itself in such a manner as to prevent nominal or normal developments of brain in certain directions - which would be called imbecility).

5. This radial plexus, as we find, comes from position occupied by the body in its inception, as WELL as in the manner in which the mother was cared for at time of birth - and the child as well.

This pressure radiates, then, from the 3rd and 4th cervical, and - as is seen - is to the frontal portion of the body above the 2nd and 3rd nerve, and comes to that portion above the eye, or in and about the eye and above - hence radiating through both the nasal forces, and the serums of same being so close, are accumulating - forming globules, or conditions - producing pressure, and it is assuming alarming proportions.

7. These may be corded in this plexus, or they may be reduced by the small amount of injection of that which would PREVENT the serum from accumulating; yet it would be as necessary to change these by the gentle manipulation of other centers that would take up that as is being created in system and to distribute same through other portions of the body.

8. Atropine injected, then, in this upper portion of the plexus, would assist in reducing the condition. Manipulations osteopathically, or masseur - gently - (for this a very small developing physical body) that would direct in the way that the eliminations are such that the direction of these forces would bring about the near normal forces.

9. Will this be applied, the responses will be such as will give better OPPORTUNITY, as it were, for the body to be spared the short appearance in the present experience, and an opportunity for the MENTAL development of a HIGHLY developed spiritual entity.
