This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce this 12th day of April, 1921.

1. GKN: Please locate well on Billups location near Columbus, Miss. which you have had before.

2. EC: We have it here at Billups Bend at the location where they have begun the preparation for building the rig.

3. (Q) Is this a rotary formation, or should a standard rig be used? (A) Either can be used in this place; if in using the rotary rig we are careful of the structure as they are passing through the various formations and kinds of structure as they reach the different levels that they pass, until the depth of 1875 ft. where we reach the first paying oil, this is where we have it. At 1214 ft. a good showing of oil. Be sure they do not cut this off from production if they use a rotary rig. There will be some showing of oil in the upper shale at 1214 to 1240 ft. The production in this territory will reach around 1875 to 1890 ft.

4. (Q) Is there deeper sand with larger production in this territory, Mr. Cayce? (A) We do not find pay sand deeper that would be worth the drilling. There would be some where there would be more production, yet the water in the deeper formations would interfere too much.

5. (Q) Please make a location in Kemper County, Miss. on the Clay, Gordon and Todd acreage, Mr. Cayce. (A) There are some beautiful locations on the surface here; locations for various things if they are on the surface.

6. (Q) We are locating a well, Mr. Cayce, that is not on the surface. We desire to locate a particular well for oil on this property, please, Mr. Cayce. (A) We have not any wells on this acreage. We have some oil under the ground that can be extracted in paying quantities; but it will be rather difficult in drilling to make it pay. There are some places we would say on the Clay acreage that could be drilled that would make a most satisfactory well. The trouble in this district, that is on the Clay property, is the formations through which it would be necessary to pass to obtain the well. We find these formations above where the depth would be reached to get oil at the present time, so we have a heavy, gummed slush that would be very troublesome in passing the casing through or in. So that those places must be dodged or come between, if we would find a place to make successful drilling in this territory. Oil would be found at a depth of from 2200 to 2300 ft. We would find production on the Clay acreage would be from 110 to 140 barrels of oil per day; and it would be thrown by its own force of gas, you see. It would be necessary to locate all of those separately if we were going to drill; but beginning, as we would say, close to the corner of the wood up from the house north and east; on the sunny side at present (about 4:30 in the afternoon, Central time) of the hill, which is necessarily toward the west now. Drill there, we would say, to obtain production.

Cayce of Columbus, Miss: “I was sorry to know that they were never able to finish the operations they had in the County there for oil, though they were in the wrong location where they drilled at the time, by about seventy-five or a hundred yards; that is, according to the information that we had obtained.”
