This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of October, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [4352], via Mr. Frank E. Mohr.

Time of Reading 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are some abnormal conditions for this body that may be corrected, yet there are many conditions that are good regarding the physical functioning. Hence, we see those abnormal conditions are of a specific nature and affect the system in a specific manner, causing conditions, however, that become very worrisome at times to the physical forces of the body.

3. Now, these are the conditions as we find them in this body. First:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this very good in many ways, yet in the nerve system there are those conditions that allow and cause, through allowing same, those disturbances in the heart’s circulation, though not an organic heart trouble, yet causing the ebb and flow, as it were, of the pulsation, producing the subnormal pressure, then producing this strain as comes in the lower portion of the chest and the fullness towards that, seemingly, of the nature of the nerve digestion or indigestion, when the trouble is produced, as we see, through the nerve distribution in system.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM THEN PROPER, we find the greater cause of the troubles, for we find in times back there have been two distinct accidents to the body to cause disturbance in system. First that in the upper portion, which affects directly the centers or plexus of the 4th and 5th cervical vertebra. Again we had through this stiffness a condition produced in the lower portion of body, in the 12th dorsal and 1st lumbar. Hence the deflections as come to functioning system of the kidneys and lower portion of body, and of the sensory organism, see?

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS, brain forces, then, very good.

7. Functioning of all organs of sensory system involved in those lesions as are produced in the cervical region. Also there are some lesions as affect the throat proper. These should be, as we will see, broken up with the other conditions, but in a more specific manner. Then, the whole system comes under the strain of the conditions and produces in the functioning system as these:

8. The fullness in lungs, the breathing that comes to the body, strain as effected, heart’s action becomes depressed and too loose, as it were, in its flow. Digestion shows the effect of pressure in the upper dorsal, and this reflex and the cervical being, direct, the cause of these disturbances through the stomach proper. The lower portion of system, the hepatic circulation and the organs of lower body, under that strain, sympathetically and direct, of that produced in lower dorsal (12th) and 1st lumbar.

9. Then, to bring the corrections for this body - these should be brought about by the adjustments, osteopathically, of those conditions producing this, and the specific treatment to that of the Eustachian Tubes, which affect hearing, the eyes, the nasal, producing then the effect at times, in all cavities of the facial portion of body, that catarrhal condition of this also will necessitate the relaxing and adjusting along the whole length of the spine, specifically the dorsal (upper) and cervical, and the lumbar and the lower dorsals, see? We would have this done by Lydic at Dayton, Ohio, see? for these adjustments may be made properly there.

10. Take at least two or three such adjustments each month, with those vibrations as will be found in Radio-Active Applicators, see? as given for the distribution, or the equalization in distributed forces throughout the body. Do that, keeping applicator at least two to two and a half hours, or longer, attached to the body, each evening, see? - plain applicator.

11. Do that, and we will bring these properties, these conditions to the system as will give that normal force for the body, [4352].

12. We are through for the present.

My dear Mr. [4352],

I’m enclosing you, herewith, copy of the reading as was gotten this morning. I’m truly in hopes that you will receive a great deal of benefit by following out the suggestions as are given. I notice in the suggestions for treatment, it is given a special doctor to do this treating. This is something very rare in the Work, though there are times when it suggests some specific one. Lydic as referred to here, is Dr. L. A. Lydic, Reibold Building, Dayton, Ohio. I know Dr. Lydic and he had seen a number of cases that we have given these readings for. I believe it will be very good if you can arrange to have him look you over and make the corrections as are suggested.

This battery suggestion, Radio-Active Applicator, this is something that is prepared by Mr. T. B. Brown, Brookins Mfg. Co., Dayton, Ohio. These we have found have proven very beneficial in practically every case where they have been suggested. When you visit Dr. Lydic, you can call Mr. Brown and make your arrangements regarding this. I certainly hope that you will let us hear from you. I am especially interested in each and every case that we have, and this, especially, because it has pointed out a special physician and a special appliance to work with same.

Dear Dr. Lydic:-

Just a little note to enclose you copy of a reading as was gotten for a gentlemen in … Of course, we have suggested that he come in and see you, especially as it indicated you are the man to do the treating. I hope he does and that you’ll do him a good job - break his neck or cure him one.

You’ll notice also there’s one of those machines that Tim is making suggested. You can show this to Tim, if you will, so that if he calls on him he’ll know what kind is wanted.

R4. 12/15/25 [4352]‘s letter to EC:

Mr. Cayce:-

I want to beg your pardon for not answering sooner, and seemingly paying no attention to your correspondence, but as I have explained before, I travel on the road as salesman and am not home much of the time, and also have been very busy with Xmas sales that I have neglected you or rather myself.

I have looked over your reading carefully and find that the conditions you find in the body are partially true, but I have no ear trouble whatsoever; but as to nerves and blood you possibly are right, yet that is not my major trouble. You propose going to an Osteopath in Dayton. Would an osteopath here be just as good., i.e., if he were a good one? It would be much handier for me and less expensive, also I could get treatments more often.

You also suggest an Radio-Applicators. This I could have sent to me on request. I am only suggesting that, so that I might cut down on expenses and also that I could continue with my work, without interruption of making these trips to Dayton.

I want to keep in touch with you more closely, so answer for my satisfaction on the above requests.

Dear Mr. [4352],

Replying to yours of the 15th, I am sure that if you have a first class osteopath in your town that this would be just as well as the one in Dayton. I merely made this suggestion to you that you see this one, for if you were a traveling man, you perhaps made that town, and I knew the one I referred you to had had considerable experience with the suggestions as are made in these readings and would know how to handle such. However, it may be just as well that you give your local man the address of this one and they might be of assistance to each other. To be sure, you may order the Radio Applicator direct from Mr. Brown. I’m sure he will give you the instructions regarding same.

We thank you very much for letting us hear from you and would like to assure you of our interest in your gaining your normal health - and should there be any special question you would desire to ask us regarding your condition, we shall be very glad to try to be of assistance whenever you would suggest.
