This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th St. & Ocean, Va. Beach, Va., this 4th day of December, 1931, in accordance with request made by self, Mr. [4362], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [4362], present in this room, seeking information regarding a formula, owned by H. O. Bernstrom, 11 Whitford Ave., Nutley (Newark), N.J., for manufacturing soap products, principally, from Irish potatoes. You will answer the questions which he will ask regarding the formula and the financial possibilities of this project.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [4362] present in this room. The formula, the conditions as surround same - these we have had here before. As has been given, this IS a feasible, workable, practical, formula; provided that the product as used in connection with same is selected principally from those territories that the growth of same contains potash in lands from which same is grown, rather than that in the SAME product from other soils. The combinations that have been made with same, as well as bi-products, as we find, will be well; especially the powders and those in the liquid varieties. All have possibilities for a native product that few, or no other, formulas have had; thus offering an exceptional opportunity for low cost in production. The distributions will be the manner that must be met. This also offers a variation, and one well worth considering, of using a product - that the supply is almost unlimited, and prevents the use of MANY of those things that would be objectionable, were the basis of the products PROPERLY considered by a public. In the distribution, this - as we find - would be the main point for consideration. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Being unable to finance the project myself, would it be advisable to offer part of my stock for sale or secure financial assistance in some other manner? (A) This, as we find, would be the most plausible or reasonable manner, to secure additional financial assistance; for this should offer, and does offer, that in which there would be much for ALL concerned. As given, provided the DISTRIBUTION is looked after closely. There are, and have been, so many products of the nature, that NATURALLY distribution offers the greater problem, even than the manufacture, or even the obtaining of capital FOR manufacturing; but, as we find, the distribution would be through individuals, or groups, or teams, that WOULD go direct TO the CONSUMER, and THROUGH this channel induce the wholesale or distributing centers in such a manner that this WOULD NOT be a hard proposition; being rather slow, yet paying its way as it goes, rather than that of wholesale advertising in the beginning - see? This, as we find, would be the manner of distribution.

4. (Q) If I offer this stock for sale, can sufficient capital be secured to economically operate a plant? (A) WE find that it should, and would.

5. (Q) If the necessary capital is secured would it be profitable from an investment standpoint? (A) As given, it would be; provided the DISTRIBUTION is handled properly! for no matter how cheap a product may be made, or how good the PRODUCT, unless it can be disposed OF, little may be gained from same!

6. (Q) Is there any additional information that may be given at this time? (A) This, as we find, would this be followed out, would make for an EXCEPTIONAL proposition; for the PRODUCT is good, EASILY made, and at a price that is exceptional.

7. (Q) It would be best, then, to secure financial assistance in some other manner than to sell part of stock? (A) We would sell part of stock. That OFFERS the quickest and the most feasible manner; for, as given, a LITTLE HOLDING will mean much - if handled properly.
