This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 29th day of June, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [4364].

Born October 28, 1885, Hungary, at a place called St. Imrie. Time of Reading 12:00 Noon - Dayton Savings Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will have before you [4364] of the … Company, …, New York City, N.Y., who was born in Hungary, at a little place pronounced St. Imrie, in 1885 or 1886, I think. You will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and the Universal Forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life. Also the former appearances in the earth’s plane, giving time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and to that which it may attain, and how.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, and those relations with the Universe and Universal Forces, as are manifest in the present earth plane, and those that have to do with the development and to that which the entity may attain and how, through the use of those that have gone to make up the individual and the individuality in the entity, as is presented in the earth plane at the present time.

3. In taking this position, we find that is taken on October 28, 1885, and the entity took that position from Jupiter, with Neptune and Mercury in the ascendency in the entity’s pre-notions, intuitions and incentives. Hence the developments as are reached and may be reached in the present earth’s plane, and we find one that is given to be of a disposition and nature towards that of the mechanical art work.

4. One who may manage in finance and in the arts as pertaining to building, especially, of wood or of any mechanical contrivance that has to do with the improvement of the usages of man’s own mental development, rather than other natures.

5. One that is trustworthy in many ways, yet one mistrusting many peoples. Hence we have a contradiction in the condition, as is often presented in the body and in the mental forces, and which has worked to a disadvantage at ties to the individual, for with the attempt to have others understand their position, the entity presents self in such a manner that others become wary of the body itself in its mental attributes and ability to carry out or carry forward those conditions which it has undertaken.

6. One, then, who will find the greatest development in the earth’s plane in that of the mental attributes of the physical forces, yet one that should learn first to control those elements in self wherein self-aggrandizement would bring detrimental forces to the physical body, and thereby prevent the full development in the shortening of years to self.

7. Then, the entity should learn first that lesson of self control, of being able, through the will of self, to know self, and through the divine within self so pattern the life in every action, whether of physical physical or of spiritual development, those that will bring the greater development to the body in every way and manner.

8. As to the appearances, we find the one before this coming from that of the early days of the Ukraine, when the first of the peoples came as the settlers from over the mountains in the vales in the Southern Urals. The entity then in the name Udjhtldozpzu. The entity then found favor in the peoples who were as the first of the peoples to give the settlement in a form of government, controlled by more than one. The entity then gave help through these assistances, when in the manner of the artisan, from same which has developed this desire, this ability, to create through mental forces those conditions which will be of aid to individuals in mind development, pertaining then to that of intrinsic works, pertaining to mechanical conditions.

9. In the one before this we find in the Southern portion of the now Indian country, when the waters were divided, and the lands appeared in this portion of the now Asian hemisphere. The entity among those who first pushed out to this new land. Then we find in the name Uxel. The entity in this also found much development, but latter portion of life brought to a hard close through the taking unto self of those conditions which did not belong to the entity, bringing then the destructive forces in that to the body. In the urge we have in the present is the lack of trust as is apparent in other individuals, as well a the environment to which this was brought in coming into the world at this time.

10. Then, as to what the entity may develop and how:

11. First UNDERSTAND SELF and self’s relation to the higher forces as are set by the Creator in His relation with man. Draw unto those forces wherein the entity would have the opportunity to express those, manifest those abilities in the creative genius, as is not in that of development to the condition bringing about mental forces. This we find will be the better development for this body, [4364].

12. Follow then in that way as has been set, drawing near unto Him who gives the only pure perfect Gifts, and the better days in physical, mental and spiritual understanding comes to the individual.

Dear Mr. [4364]:

I’m in receipt of yours of the 25th, with enclosure as contribution towards the work, and the request for the Life Reading. I was afraid that we would not get just what you wanted with the information we had, but undertook this, as you see, this morning and I’m enclosing you a copy of that as gotten, and I’m very much in hopes this will prove both interesting and instructive, as well as quite beneficial to you in your future endeavors. I gather from this that your forte and abilities lie in that as creative genius, and I’m in hopes that the work you are taking up is of this nature, for I’m sure in same you will be most successful in every way.

Now, should there be any portion of this that you would desire my explanation of, I shall be more than glad to contribute what I may be able to towards this. I’m sure our friend, Mr. David Kahn, will be able to give you a great deal of insight into just what the phraseology of these readings mean, for he has seen quite a number of these and I’m sure will be able to explain same in a perfectly satisfactory manner.

I come to you for relief, not from physical ailments, but from some deficiency in my mentality. Here I am approaching middle age, and I find myself very far indeed from that goal of financial independence that I set for myself in youth. Every venture I make results in hopeless failure, and I appeal to you to see if there is something I can do, before it is too late, towards arriving at some state in life that will lift the fear of poverty from my dear ones.

Your name was given me by Mr. David Kahn and his mother Fannie Kahn, both of whom you have helped.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I am in receipt of your favor of the 23rd, enclosing circular letter and card, all of which has been carefully read. I have filled in the card to the best of my ability, and I trust it will enable you to give me a life reading, although I fear that my inability to give you exact date of birth may complicate things. The town I was born in is a little place, the spelling of which is not known, but it is pronounced St. Imrie. I have been unable to locate it on any atlas.

The check enclosed is all I can afford at the moment. Consider, it please, as a preliminary payment.

I have spent nearly eight years in this office, and now contemplate resigning my position on June 30th. I trust your reading will make clear whether this vitally important step is the proper one to take.
