This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 4th day of November, 1922.

Time of Reading 10:33 A. M. …, Ohio.

1. FEM: Now Mr. Cayce you are going to sleep. (pause) Now Mr. Cayce you are asleep and all of the organs of your body will function properly. You will hear me and answer all my questions. You have before you this morning the body of [4383], … Building, …, Ohio. I want you to go over this body carefully and tell me why the medicines you gave her in former readings caused her to be deathly sick (pause). Now you have the body before you.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, not in this room at this moment but we have them here, you see. Now we find that the cause of the properties as were given her taken in this body [4383], we are speaking of were not compounded in the quantity or in the manner as we had given her, you see. The conditions in the system we find are very much as they were when we had them before. The impression as has been given by the sensory organism is not as good yet as these properties are taken into the system as we have given here. We will find the trouble will be eliminated, and the body will go back to the normal condition by being rid of the congestion that shows throughout the muscular forces, especially, those in the seat or at the head of the Brachial plexus.

3. This is what we would take into the system at the present time, and the manner in which it should be compounded:

Sarsaparilla Root…4 ounces, Burdock Root…2 ounces, Yellow Dock Root…2 ounces, Black Root…2 ounces, Buchu Leaves…2 drams, Mandrake Root…1/2 dram, Elder Flower…2 ounces.

4. This would be, that is of all these properties, would be put into one gallon of rain water or distilled water and simmered, not boiled with cover on it until reduced to one quart, strain. To this we would add while warm six ounces of grain alcohol with three drams of Balsam of Tolu. The doses would be tablespoonful before each meal. In the first combination, we find was made incorrect, properties and quantities were used that caused the nausea, which was caused from the alcohol that was used in the combination of Mandrake root.

5. Follow this as we have given and we will bring the correct balance to this body, [4383].

6. (Q) What were the wrong combinations used in the first prescriptions? (A) We have just given this.
