This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of April, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4385] via a friend.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, and those physical conditions as exist in and with this body.

3. Now, we find there are some conditions that may be corrected, that the whole physical organism may function the better. Now,these are the conditions as we find them with this body. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find there are toxins carried in same, produced by auto-intoxication, or by the poor eliminations as are manifested in the system, and the organs that are under distress - is of the functional nature, rather than organic conditions.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find many centers that show the reflex of the existent conditions. The main or chief cause of this has existed for some time, from conditions that happened at a time when the body was under stress and strain from conditions as produced at that period. This so weakened the body, and the condition as arose, from the temperature produces, produced a form of lesion, as we find, through the mesenteric system, especially in that region of the ascending colon. This, then, has brought about many of the conditions as exist at the present time. The centers especially involved in this condition are those in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th dorsal, and the 2nd and 3rd lumbar. Hence we find the kidneys and the lower portion of the body involved in same, as well as liver, spleen, and the whole hepatic circulation.

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, many functionings are very good. Many of the conditions throughout the body are very good, especially when we consider the strain under which the body labors at times. This, as we see, is brought about by the activity of the body, and the determination of strong-willed mind toward that, that the body WILL go, do, be, whether the physical forces resist or not.

7. Then, to bring about the normal conditions for this body, there would be two specific conditions to be met, two conditions that would bring about the normal functioning of the system.

8. First we would, through deep manipulation, osteopathically (preferred) given, remove those conditions as exist in the dorsal and lumbar region - by the manipulation, taking at the same time into the system those properties that will give the incentive for the correct functioning of the organs of the trunk portion of body, such as will be found in this:

Take that of Vinol, as is given and as may be purchased in quantities, see? and to this we would add this: Be taken separate - not be taken at the same time, but add as the stimulant, see? taking the doses of Vinol as would be given, and as the preparation gives, see? Take the other properties as this:

Tincture of Valerian…4 ounces, Elixia Calisaya…4 ounces, Syrup of Sarsaparilla…1 ounce, Iodide of Potassium…20 grains, Bromide of Potassium…30 grains, Tincture of Capsici…1 minim, and sufficient Simple Syrup to make 12 ounces.

Shake this solution well to-gether. Only one dose each day to be taken of this solution, and that at bedtime.

10. Keep the intestinal tract open, using high enemas at times to cleanse the colon, and at such times the high enemas are used, use half a teaspoonful of Zonite in the water used for the enemas, see?

11. (Q) What would the dose be of the medicine to be taken? (A) Teaspoonful.

The diet of the body should be - not meats, rarely ever. The juices of same may be taken, that the strength may be kept. but rather of green vegetable food, especially those of greens, of forage of every character, especially of the rougher foods, see?

Do that, and we will find that by the time the full quantity of Vinol (one quart, see?) is taken, and at least eight to ten such osteopathic adjustments and manipulations are given, we will find an entirely different functioning, and entirely different condition existing in the system, one more satisfactory in every manner. Then do that, as given.
