This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 18th day of January, 1923.

Time of Reading … 80th St., 3:00 P. M. East Lake, Ala. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find, there is improper coordination between the cerebrospinal, sympathetic and sensory organism, so that the supply of circulation to the head, or that governed by the direct and secondary forces of certain centers in the upper dorsal and the whole length of the cervical region, this prevents the blood supply from carrying away the used forces as are in the body itself. While we find the nervous system [very good], save where these impionments have cut off the supply of nutriment to these portions of the body, yet it does no good to treat the body for the conditions without reaching to the seat of same.

2. There are only minor other conditions that are not normal; rather of a superficial nature at the present time.

3. Relieve by treating the seat of the trouble. You see, the trouble, in the beginning of the trouble, were [was from] hereditary forces that came to the body in developing, and the broken cord or dead nerve forces, between the distributing forces of the blood supply, between the cerebrospinal nerve forces and the sympathetic and the sensory, or of the larger supplying blood forces, or the superficial; [these] do not give coordinating forces, so we find to the organs of the sensory we do not carry through, to the energy or body direct, the vibrations necessary to make these organs function in their proper way.

4. To bring about, or to give relief, to this, would be to give the correct adjustment of all of the segments of the spinal column, from the sixth dorsal to the first cervical, and this would be by heat to relax these, and by adjustment, that the body may have the chance of giving the correct vibration, which would be accomplished by having the vibration to the system made this way:

5. To two gallons of rain water, we would add:

Willow Charcoal…1 pound, Heavy Sea-Salt…1 pound, Copper Sulfate…1 pound, Uncut Zinc…6 drams, Sulfuric Acid, C.P…2 ounces.

And this would be charged with a high voltage of electrical forces, and low amperage, and must reach to at least 6 ohms. While this is being charged and given to the body, there would be within this solution:

1 pound Iodine, corked well, in a glass container.

And the poles, when used to the body, would be: One of nickel and the other of silver, and the same as they are attached to the body, would be: One to the ankle, and the other to the left or right side of the cervical region - from first to third. This plate would be long enough to reach over the segments. When over the left side attach to the right ankle. When to the right side, then to the right ankle. This should be done each evening for thirty minutes.

6. It would take some time for this, but with persistent and consistent treatment will re-liven the dead or incoordinating tissue through this portion of the body - [4397].

7. (Q) Have you anything else to say about this body? (A) Do this as we have given, if we would bring the correct vibration. Be persistent with this - and the eustachian tube and the conti of the ear should be cleansed every few weeks, secretions that are thrown off from these organs.

The adjustments need to be kept up for only a sufficient length of time to make the proper adjustment from this, but the vibration must be for a sufficient length of time to make new force to the body, but will be charged every three to five weeks the solution must be changed and recharged. Do that.

8. (Q) Will he be able to talk if the treatment is carried out? (A) He can talk already, and only needs to carry vibration that he knows he can.
