This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce in Hopkinsville, Ky., this 14th day of February, 1911.

[Edgar Cayce; L. B. Cayce, Conductor; Dorothy Faxon, Steno.]

Time of Reading … Street, 5:30 P. M. …, Tennessee.

  1. LBC: You have before you Mr. [4408], of …, Tennessee. We want you to go over him carefully, examine him thoroughly and tell us what is the matter with him. Tell us what his condition is now.

  2. EC: Mr. [4408], … Street, …, Tennessee. Yes, we have had him here before.

  3. The condition is some different from what we have had before. We have more effects now - that is, effects of the treatment on the physical body, in connection with the troubles we have with both the physical and the mental parts of the body.

  4. You see, the troubles we have through the extremities, through the lower plexus, in the ilea, and the locomotory, are better than they have been before. That is, we have had before a tautness within the muscular fibrous force, between the nerve supply and the muscular fiber force, and the nutriment to the body, whereby it has been supplied. As we have had the elimination form the system of the used-up matter carried along by the supply of the blood force through the cells or channels of the body in itself, we have the used up force of these from the nerve force and from the muscular tissue of the whole body, carried and thrown out and eliminated from the system.

  5. The gathering of tautness in the system produces a lack of muscular force to use up the powers through the locomotories.

  6. The relaxing of these conditions through the same we have had, through the exterior of the body, has produced a more lax condition through the muscular force. They are relaxed form the exterior, producing then to the system, a more inter-lateral connection between these forces supplying within, by the blood supply or circulation in the body itself.

  7. (Q) What other conditions do you see? (A) We still have these same conditions, but not so much, of course, through the system. We have then, through the ilea supplies to the nerve force, circulation, in the pelvis, along the kidneys, from a lack of being able to eliminate from the system these properties thrown out by these, showing themselves more through the walls of the system than we do through the rest of the body. As we have had a state of taxation on the system through the muscular force, that has produced the condition that we have here in the system. This can be helped to be eliminated by taking into the intestinal tract, through the digestive organs, through the stomach, something to help eliminate these from it.

  8. (Q) What would that be? (A) Something to aid the digestion along with things to be assimilated and carry off the dross from the actions of the kidneys on the body in itself. Keep what we have had here, these baths, steam, hot air, hot applications of the mud, which we have had here before.
